Will a Cargo Cover for a HMMWV fit a 101A2

The one that I'm looking at is a hard cover - I have a soft cover, but it doesn't fit my needs.

Will a Cargo Cover for a HMMWV fit a 101A2

How far off was it? I can handle some basic fabrication/welding but don't want a huge hassle.

Question is in the title - anyone know?

    M101A2 Hitch Questions

Hollow, of course. I could fill it by welding in a plug, but that defeats the "simple" aspect. Thanks goodness for sales and HF coupons - I don't have much in it. No description, just a sticker on top with a 400/4000lb limit. Thanks.

    M101A2 Hitch Questions

Funny, HF made no mention of that.aua So maybe a plate welded onto both sides to box it in is in order?

    M101A2 Hitch Questions

THanks for al of the advice! I bought one of these "hitch Extenders" from HF, drilled it out to fit flush with my reciever (shorten the "lever" a bit) and it works great.

    M101A2 Hitch Questions

My surge brake works, so I hate to take it off unless there is an advantage. The hand brakes also come in handy. Is there any andvantage (significant weight reduction maybe?)

    M101A2 Hitch Questions

Thanks! That looks like the best route. I took the ligts off and ran a 12V LED set to have it titled/get the plate. I have been using it, I just hate the way that it sits.

    M101A2 Hitch Questions

That would be the easy way, but I don't want to loose the clearance as I actually need it once in a while. I use it as the Boy Scout Gear Hauler - I bring their junk directly to the campsite. I also have a Suburban on 37's that I will use to pull the trailer from time to time.

    M101A2 Hitch Questions

About 6 inches. Its already 5-6 inches over the centerline of the receiver, so if I boost it higher it will be about a foot from the centerline.

That's what I was afraid of.

    M101A2 Hitch Questions

I have a M101A2 with a functioning surge brake, but I tow it with an Xterra, so the pintle is a little high. I would rather not use an extension on my reciever because I am afraid of the weight/leverage (may be an unfounded fear BTW). So I am wondering if the surge/pintle can be lowered while...

Convert a M105A to Chevy 8 lug wheels?

I thought about a truck rearend, but didn't know that there was Ag equipment that had those hubs. I was hoping that there was a hub conversion that would make my life easy, but it looks like another axle is in my future.

Convert a M105A to Chevy 8 lug wheels?

What axles are under it? I realize that they are made by Rockwell, but don't know anything about it at all. Could I just replace the hubs altogether?
