I am clear now, but have learned from this series of comments that I need to remove the earth ground from the main panel and put it on the utility-side neutral of the transfer switch.

Yep, the switch we intend to use is on-off-on and marked as service rated for our 200a utility.

you might be referring to the cable connection for starting genset via 24V mil vehicle. if i recall correctly, there's a section in the in the TM about it.
Mine was under the battery trays, tucked in the frame.
I imagine most of the units to be had at Chambersburg PA will be the same.
Thought I'd post in case others experience apparent missing battery jumper. Didn't see it until I removed trays to replace with Group 24 trays.
