    This is another one of those common topics. I say go for it, just plan your stops. Not really an issue if you are careful. But a Duramax sure would make it a quicker trip....

    Keep in mind, bigger tires equals less power. As far as wheels you will need to make or order some custom ones. www.OdIron.com can hook you up with wheels and maybe some tires. MRW makes good wheels as well. You can also check with Berg tire for tires. 395/85r20 or the 15.50r20 are both...

    My wheels studs on my 105 are the same size as the studs in my rockwells, all it would take is the thimbles and larger nuts.

    You have to stay with a tire that is inder the 48" axle spread limit if you wish to keep both rear axles. Basically 14.00's will not fit on a 2 1/2 ton 6x6 395/85r20's measure about 46 and will fit, 13.00r20's are about the same the wheels are narrow stock and it will be a squeeze with much...

    fun with BIGGER tires ........... ?

    The trailer currently matches the truck in a hubs out configuration. Im betting the tire would rub on the fender lip. So either a lift, or opening up the fender would be required. When I get my tires mounted Ill throw one on to get a picture.
