    Looking to give my 1028 a 6.5 turbo/4L80E a heart transplant....

My advice would be to rebuild the 6.2 and find a banks sidewinder kit, get a 4l80 donor out of something 98-current and use a standalone wiring kit with computer. Looking to give my 1028 a 6.5 turbo/4L80E a heart transplant....

It's something I can surely do, but you are a few hours from me. you know to do the 4l80 that a standalone computer will be needed. I wouldn't recommend the 6.5 turbo setup either, I'd look for a banks sidewinder kit.

    M1028's experts needed! Please

Not exactly, the only reason the NP205 was used in those models was for the PTO drive. I've had/built both, and they're both plenty robust, did you ever see the size of the Chain? it's about 2in. in dia.. I'd take either.

I was curious on this myself, I'm assembling a 6.2 now for my m1028 due to nuts and bolts down the intake from GL, block got jugs machined 030 over , heads and block were decked.
