Lance, I have several M101A3 landing leg crank handles I'm sending to Findlay with my buddy KD Frost. He will be driving the M1009 Air Force CUCV Blazer pictured below. He will be there Friday only. The cranks are new manufacture and the same ones Iv'e been selling on ebay. They will be selling...
Glad you found the the cause of the noise. the M1009's are realy nice vehicles. I love mine. Your M1009 and 101A2 look realy nice. Also nice companion riding shotgun!
Yes, a cracked flex plate makes and awful noise and yes it gets louder with RPM. I know the sound from experience. The guy I bought my M1009 from had just replaced the tyranny. After 500 miles it started making a horrible sound which turned out to be the cracked flex plate. I replaced it with a...
The noise sounds like a flex plate to me also. Mine made the same sound when it cracked. It looked ok with the dust cover off but after removing the flex plate you could see the cracks around the mounting bolts. I'm not sure about the coolant light but I'm sure someone on here will help you...
Thanks once again Carnac. Donation sent. I'm sure God is saving a special MV of your choice in heaven for all the charitable work you do. Hope they use OD Paint up there!

Thanks John for the good time. Had alot better turnout than last year. It's always good to see all of you and your nice MV's. Sold enough to pay the fuel bill for two diesel gulpers and one sipper and still had a little money in my pocket. See ya later this summer.
We took one truck up yesterday. Jim Martz from Ohio was already there and setting up. Talked with Nate and KD. We're heading back up this morning around 7 or 8 with our other two vehicles and a few small items to sell or trade. Thanks Mike and Nate, look forward to seing you.
Not exactly, I repaired the Sprague last month. It was about a 16 hour job with the tools I had to work with. I did paint the 5 ton and my deuce last week though. I had to get them ready for a show this weekend. Hope I'm through painting for awhile! I used six gallons of paint.
In the AN/VRC-12 Series, I think the RT-524 + the R-442 with Aux Receiver Loudspeaker is the AN/VRC-47 set. One of the advantages of this set you can operate Duplex with another like station. Station 1 transmits on station 2's receiver frequency and station 2 transmits on station 1's receiver...
As far as Green Radios the AN/GRC-160 is the set up I use along with the VIC-1 in my deuce and 5 ton. It's nice to have the option of using the PRC 77 as a man pack if needed. A 2 meter radio would be easy to add in addition.
