    M105A2 Hitch/Brake conversion.

This is a weld-on drop jack. The top of the jack to the top of the frame rail is 9.5 inches. That will leave about 20 inches of ground clearance with the jack fully retracted. Be sure to weld the jack on the driver's side, not the passenger side like I did-makes it a lot easier to operate. I...

Great job on the BOB!! The proportions look perfect. I am in the planning stages of buying a M923A2 for bobbing. What kind of springs did you use for the rear axle?

    M105A2 Hitch/Brake conversion.

Pontiacman, My trailer is a 1966 and for whatever the reason, I had to go with a hitch with a reverse lockout. I know that with my set up, if I do not engage the lockout, the brakes lock up....skid marks!!! I may be wrong but you may find the same situation. I think the axle is only free...

    M105A2 Hitch/Brake conversion.

Pontiacman, Thank you....if you have any question, please feel free to ask. By the way, the brakes work absolutely great!! The reverse lockout feature on the Atwood system is necessary to make the conversion complete.

    M105A2 Hitch/Brake conversion.

3dAngus, Thank you! Our company possesses the tools and skills to do things like we have done with the M105A2. I feel very fortunate to be in that position and of course we would be willing to help others with their conversions. I totally agree with you about the height of the trailer, although...

    m105

I tow my M105A2, converted to hydraulic surge brakes with my Dodge 3500 Diesel Dually and would never consider towing it with a smaller vehicle. A m416 would be a better choice and matched to your Jeep's tow rating. Safety is the key here. Best of luck!!

    M105A2 Hitch/Brake conversion.

Great question! The landing gear had to be removed because the radial movement of the "gear" would interfere with the 3x3 tubing. Losing the 85 pounds was just a plus for hitch weight! Of course, I will miss the jockey wheel for pushing the trailer around on pavement. It was a sacrifice I had to...
