So just what am I looking at here?

Wish you would have let me know when you came in town. I would have met up and helped you. I'm very very VERY glad it ended up with someone who is going to do something worthwhile with it rather than hacking it to bits. Thanks for saving it!

So just what am I looking at here?

If I werent already purchasing two full size Cherokees, trust me I would pick this thing up in a heartbeat. A little 4.3, 4sp, waggy axles and some 33s would make a cool little sucker to run around in. I just dont have the time/money/space right now. :-|

So just what am I looking at here?

Nothing under the hood. Has a set of exhaust manifolds for some sort of V6. It did have one wheelwell toolbox on the drivers side. Didn't pay attention to the other side. The small amount of cancer I could easily find was on the passenger floorpan where it met the side of the tub.

So just what am I looking at here?

Im pretty sure when I looked in the engine bay, the bottom crossmember under where the radiator would be still had the cursive F and part of an O still visable so I figured it was a Ford. Just wasnt sure if it was all completely orig. Its located in Texarkana Tx, and he said he wants $600 for...

So just what am I looking at here?

So I love junkyard digging. Its just neat to walk around and find interesting things. Well last week I found the very definition of that! I never would have thought to see on of these in a junkyard, in MY lifetime at least. Couldnt find any data plates on it. So what am I looking at here? Hes...

Any one put a turbo on the 250 cummins?

Im thinking that looks like a turbo off of quite a large motor, larger than the 250 cummins. I doubt its going to work out very well for your motor. Kyle

    help with HMMWV engine

Trans kickdown. TH400s kickdowns are electronic controled by that switch. [edit] Or its the fan cutoff. During WOT passing gear it cuts the fan off for more speed. If you have ever driven a HMMWV, you will understand just how much power the fan robs! [edit]

my ex USMC M 1046 Humvee is ready!!

I thought so too, until I saw just how HORRIBLE the systems worked on the M35A3s, 5 tons, FMTVs and such. They are a CONSTANT headache.

my ex USMC M 1046 Humvee is ready!!

And yes, AMG is still producing HMMWVs in various forms for the US Military. All of the A2s have the provisions in the hubs to run the CTIS, but not even the 1114s have been running CTIS. We had a few mid to late 90s models come in for re-builds that had the lines run for the CTIS, but were...

my ex USMC M 1046 Humvee is ready!!

1113= A2 with a turbo, upgraded cooling, and some other tidbits, normally called 'Shelter carriers'. Different frame rails, a-arms, and other small differences vs the A2s 1114= Up-Armored HMMWV, shares lots of the same components with a 1113, cept with lots of armor/weight. Can be slant backs...

my ex USMC M 1046 Humvee is ready!!

Up-Armor HMMWVs are 1114s and 1151/1152s. Produced BY AM GENERAL WITH armor, not added on to a normal HMMWV. Kyle
