WC-56 Command Car ... slow, but as promised..

Command cars are the best, great to grab the family and go to the drive in or out for a night in town, I really enjoy mine, lots of work to bring it back but very worth it. It looks very proud sitting in my garage and always starts right up willing to go show it's self off :-) Eric..

    To V8 another ? YES

Thanks for the replies, I have already built a V8 powered m37 with power steering and power disc brakes and it is a awesome truck to drive, Every modification I did fit in the original bolt holes, hence "no cutting or drilling" The factory axles are holding up well and I have never broke a...

    To V8 another ? YES

I picked up a M43 and after figuring out a budget to get the original drive train back to running vs doing a V8 conversion, it would be far cheaper to convert the V8, I'll be wanting to tow my command car on a trailer anyway so this being a heavier vehicle I feel it would be a better tow rig...

    Best oil for the mule?

I guess I'll have to change my Mule oil when I return from Tower Park, I used Valvoline 10-30 in my oil change, I'm glad now I bought some extra filters from Bill Watson. I can say though, my Mule runs very good a quiet (no lifter ticks) Thanks for the good tip postings, I don't want to mess...

Well friends it is packed up on the trailer and I'll be off tomorrow morning to Tower Park. I'll take lots of pictures with it sitting with the other 11 command cars that are supposed to be there for the Show. I'm sure it will be a contender in the ranks, I appreciate all the compliments and I...

    Restoration Guide

I was a little harsh on my responce and I ment no disrespect, you are right the book is enertaining in it's own way, it should have been titled different because some people really think it is a guide to restore their M37, I like the Book and it is not for sale, I'll keep it. I do like the...

    Restoration Guide

I used to read mine in the can, I thought it was a way for Dave to try and recoup some of his investment in his M37 nighmare, all it sounded like to me when I read the book is I need to suck up to my wife and use my retirement to build one. As for informantion ??? what information, I liked the...

    Toyota vs WC56

Funny, I had the same thoughts. I was just being our new way of "politically Correct" and showing our new way of "being Sensitive" Ohh, I need to go watch some more TV so I can receive my daily dose of "Subliminal" messages and go buy more foreign products instead of our own made in USA :cookoo:

    Toyota vs WC56

I have been working my rear off to get my WC56 ready for the Tower Park show and my neighbor Keith on his WC52 also, so the deal is I have this person at the auto parts store overhear me asking for zinc cromate primer and asks "what is that for ? I tell him it is the better coating for sand...

    Burma Jeep

They are cool looking trucks, there are about 8 of them out here in the desert but missing the beds. If one of them had a bed I would pick one up. I like the dodges best but for the "different look" they are there. I wouldn't want to ride as a passenger though, too goofy Good luck !
