I have a tach in my Humvee. With radial tires, it is running about 3000 at 60mph. I installed a 700R overdrive and the rpm drops to 2200 at 60mph in overdrive. Wayne Walker

RE: 24V battery maintenance charger go to www.batterystuff.com. they sell 24v. battery chargers that are small enough to fit in your battery compartment, fully automatic to shut off when approx. 28v are present, cost as little as $44 Wayne Walker
