Safety note here! on some of the airbrake canisters, there is a spring used in the park brake assembly that is under alot of preasure. If you do not use a canister bolt to hold the spring down, the whole assembly can come back and literaly take your head off! Check with an experienced truck...
the seal around the liner could be bad or the liner may have a pin hole in it Also check the oil cooler for leaks. I have used a hydrolic jack and a piece of wood to push up the liner on the 350NTC Cummins. Worked real nice doing it in a truckstop over labor Day weekend about 20 years ago. JMO
Does the 3116 Cat have a water filter like the over the road trucks do? If not would you recommend it? Over the road trucks have the filter to add chemicals to the radiater and to prevent electralisis, Sorry for the spelling. Also cleans rust and dirt out of the water and antifreeze.
What is the air pack and were is it located? I'm familiar with air brakes on semis. but I do not recall anything called an air pack. Sorry for the dumb question.
