I believe I read that spin on filters do not have fuel/water separator or a heating element like the factory one? Not sure, but if so then I have no intentions of installing a spin on. Speaking of that I need to get around to changing my fuel filter :|

One short I had that was keeping my truck from starting for awhile was a melted, grounded diode behind the air cleaner that made the short on and off, confusing the **** out of me. Not sure if this will help, but good luck :beer:

Wow thats a wiring mess When I got my truck there was some stuff wrong... Starter relay was bypassed with an ignition switch which sparked and shocked everytime it was used...yeah that was replaced quickly Fuses were missing, diodes were melted, fusible links about to blow, battery cables...
