I remember years ago reading in military vehicles mag that they made around 500 10 ton cargo trucks. They had a feature on JUMBO a cargo truck restored by a guy, that was later for sale in the same mag. I was wandering if anyone on SS new of or own a 10 ton cargo truck or know more about them...
What is the difference in towing capacity on a 5 ton pintle hitch and a 10 ton pintle hitch? I am looking to put one on my m919 and need the strongest one possible.
Thanks Terry
We put one on our deuce many years ago, but we used a dump truck style mount and a 10 ft blade. all the parts were state surplus. I works really well but power steering would be nice. Do not need the heater while plowing snow.
Does anyone know what kind of fan clutch is on the NTC-400 Cummins in and M919? The disk broke inside and I have took it to all the local truck parts suppliers and they say they have never seen a clutch made like it. I was wandering if anyone else has run into this.
Thanks
Thanks for looking for the switch. If it happens to be there I will be glad to pay for it or least pay for shipping. For towing the chassis home, cage the break chambers on the back. The make a special cage bolt to screw in the break chambers to release the brakes. If you do not have any go...
Does the parts truck still have the air switch on the dash to lock the rear axles together and the front? If so, would you be interested in selling it. I broke the plastic lever on mine. Got to use a pair of pliers to engage it now.
Thanks
Yeah, I am afraid it will be to long. I haven't got to measure it yet. I really don't won't to cut the hood up to lengthen it. I thought I would ask around and see if anyone else had tried it. I pays to ask around before you learn the hard way.
