This is likely a noob/dumb question, but gonna fire it anyway. I'm trying to figure out a way to mount my military radios (the 524 and the 442) on/near the front of the M1009, someplace around the dash. I've seen this done in USMC vehicles from time to time, but for the life of me, can't...
I recall the older strobes in the 90's police cars (civilian) and they did the same thing! Used to drive you nuts, yeah. I'd much appreciate any info you could provide. I'm def. leaning toward the rear pole mount now!
Kyle, thanks, I'll try searching for that and see what I can come up with.
Here's the light (along with the box). I like the idea of the pole mount, as I really don't want to drill more holes in the roof. Never thought of the bumper! That might do the trick. Kyle, thanks! I have a local guy that does all my welding here, and I might take the pole I already have to him...

I'm thinking this is what I'm going to do with mine. It's beat through the snow here in the DC area reliably thus far, 3-4 foot drifts are NOTHING. I'll have to research the forums though to find out best combinations plow wise, setup and costs. Thanks for posting these, trucks look GREAT.
My CUCV is currently set up for security use with a lightbar, etc, and I'm getting ready to put a scanner and CB into it. Nonetheless, I'd like to also get the rack (Hawkman......?? You still have yours available?) and the PRC. WLcharm...lmk what ya got!
I realize that even when I pull...
I gave just under 3000 for mine, in good running condition, new gas tank, new fender well and 3 new tires. (About a month ago, bought private in Mechanicsburg Pa)
Thanks to all. CARNAC, you are most welcome. Thanks for posting them up. I hate going into such a big purchase 'blind'. They already helped, couldn't figure out why my 2nd 'gen light' was staying on after starting, discovered that it's a normal thing and a slight tap on the gas pedal...
