    My Flexplate Story

Ok so I posted back last summer about my engine making a growling sound. Let me say that I searched high and low for information about a bad flex plate and or bolts. I only found one video online and mine really didn’t sound like this so I was thinking maybe I had a bad transmission pump on my...

    Blown 6.2 any suggestions

Hello again, I'm still debating whether or not to pull transmission and put a new pump in or buy a good th400 as there seems to be several in my area. What I don't know is whether to buy a 2wd or 4wd version. Does anyone know if the 2wd will work or know the tail shaft length? I have the older...

    Blown 6.2 any suggestions

Ok good news bad news. It's the tranny pump. Next question is would you replace entire tranny or just replace the pump. Tranny shifts fine and fluid looks good. Dropped the pan to verify and search for metals. Only thing is will civilian tranny have to be modified for the no "P" position? I'm...

    Blown 6.2 any suggestions

Did some research and talked to a tranny guy. He thinks pump is going out and yes they can whine like that. Looks like tranny swap required. Gonna verify by removing torque converter bolts when time permits.

Newbie with M1025 and big problem

First thanks to those who chose to help me. Next is the usual suspect I've read about so many time. Loose cable on underside of battery box. First negative then positive. Then I had lights then I had a live starting vehicle which I didn't have when purchased. I did the hard troubleshooting then...

Ok so I followed the trouble shooting manual and resistance checked glow plug controller. It is definitely bad. However, i still have no lights (headlights) or otherwise after cleaning up and tightening battery convections. Also, I resistance checked the glow plug wires to engine hardness...

Newbie with M1025 and big problem

Hello all I've been lurking for a while gathering good data and finally joined. I recently purchased a non running m1025. It's a 90 model great condition overall and got it home. I put some batteries in it as the originals were toast. I was working on another project that day but after I put...
