Porky, Thanks for the reply! I just changed the fluid and filter about a month ago. That was the first thing I changed when the issue came up. Before that though, the fluid and filter where original to the truck.

CUCV Winter Pictures (playing in the snow)

I would say about 2ft of ice.. I wouldn't take any truck on the ice over about 14 inches. It gets slushy in spots and you don't know where its slushy until you hit the slush lol.. Good times though.. Sweet video and pics Detroit diesel.

    Transmission Slip Question??

Problem: The tranny on my M-1008 seems to be slipping going into the 3rd gear. Shifts into second gear fine. But has a hard time shifting into 3rd most of the time. The problem seems to be the worst when I have the front locked out, in 4 wheel drive. In two wheel drive the truck shifts more...

Found Problem: I had the neighbors trailer hooked up to my truck the night my dad left the lights on. The lighting on my neighbors trailer wasn't exactly right. And I ended up almost melting both the head light and heater fuse; Instead of draining the batteries. Thanks Phil for the lighting...

    M-1008 Plowing (Vid)

My specific plow is called a Unimount. This is wear the pump and blade are one unit. The only thing you need is to wield separate mount to the frame of your truck (female part) so the male part (pump and plow) can slide in together. Wielding the female part to your truck Isn't that hard to...

    M-1008 Plowing (Vid)

Just so everyone knows I posted this vid, just for the simple fact of showing what a M-1008 can do with a plow on her. For the enjoyment factor. Not for everyone to say I don't know how to plow, going to fast, etc. Believe me I know how to plow, especially in my own neighborhood in which I...

    CUCV Cold Weather Start Experince

Also check your bateries for volts. Anything below 12 volts especially the Gen 1 battery, its no good to crank over. Especially with no block heater. Should take you atleast 4-5 times cycling GP's to start over 10 degrees or lower. If you don't have the crank, your not going anywhere.
