Hey guys, A lot of you have PM'd me on where I got the wheel spacers, so here is the info. Here is the link fore the adapters. http://www.ezaccessory.com/Wheel_Ada...6550-8650v.htm They are located in San Gabriel, and I just went down there and picked them up in person. Its a crazy...

I haven't taken Clyde (That's his name) out in the last couple weeks. Actually, we went to Pismo- that was cool. But Clyde is way too heavy and underpowered to carve dunes. Did fine cruisin the ridge. And, since I can't seem to keep a vehicle somewhat stock....I've been stuck on Pirate 4x4...

cb radio install need some ideas

right on. I have my cb antenna (4' Firestik) and my am/fm both mounted on the antenna mount on the rear of my M1009. If I add a ham antenna there as well, will they cause interference with each other- any of the 3? Thanks, Dave

cb radio install need some ideas

Hey all, Hi-Jack here. Sorry OP. But now that everyone is talking about HAM violations and fines, I was wondering about our racing scene. We race off-road vehicles, SCORE, SNORE, BITD, MORE, etc and EVERYONE out there uses VHF etc, and no one has a license. Ok, I'm sure some do, but you know...

What vinyl floor kit really works for M1009?!?!?!

Hey guys, I've spent countless hours on here (searched every page that I got a hit on) and countless hours on the web, and still have uncertainty. If you've seen my build thread, you'll know I just Herculined the M1009, and now it is time for Vinyl in the passenger area. (I do not need to do...

    1984 CUCV M1009 build thread

Hey Danny, It's about an 1/8" thick. Possibly approaching 3/16" in some places, but that is where it is really gooped on, and I am still waiting to see if that will totally cure rock-hard. It's not going to get any thicker w/o becoming a mush-like topping. I believe the Herrculiner is best...

Herculiner Ok, so I went with Herculiner. 1.75 Gallons. About 4 coats over whole thing. I do not see this sound deading and heat/cold supressing as much as I was optimistically hoping for. Also, dirt/debris will be a real mutha trying to clean out of the Herculiner. For these reasons I am going...

Insuring a CUCV (protecting an Investment)

Guys, As a claims adjuster, I happen to know a little bit on the subject. One: get insurance with a namebrand company, i.e. AAA, Farmers, etc. Two: Tell them what you have going on. Classic/Antique usually has a mileage limit per year - which I overdue big time, so Three: You get...

    Tire suggestion for m1009

I'm running 37s with no lift on stock axles/gears. I've done more off roading than on road in the last 12k miles. Including trails like Independence and Gold Mtn. Trail in Big Bear- with rock gardens. Since you're on the road mostly, I sat go with 35" BFG A/Ts, they last long and work. You're...

Pretty doggish off the get-go. Does take a certain way of driving to help it out. But for freeway it cruises 72 at 2200 rpm. but goin up hills, i have to get in slow lane. Up the Cajon Pass I downshift into 2nd and pretty much redline at 2800rpm to stay at 55mph. Going to Mammoth I drop down to...

Thought about it, liked it, but as I am going with the 6BT, 12 volt will be permanent. I would like to get a sine-wave 3k+ inverter for bigger stuff though. Time and Money my friend. There are not enough hours in the day and my pockets are too shallow sometimes. lol -Dave
