    Well shes done

My 925a2 weighed in at 19,200 after I bobbed it but it's still carrying the spare tire, davit crane, and has a subframe dump under the bed

    925A2 Hydraulic Rear Winch Add

Man this sounds great this is what I'm planning to do with my 925a2 I already bobbed it and installed a scissor type hoist under the bed, but the truck has been and will continue to be on the back burner until I finish a couple other projects. I'm planning to find a smaller hydraulic winch for...

    M925A2 to M932LA2 Conversion

I feel your pain on the rivets and sliding the crossmember, that was the absolute worst part of my 925a2 bobber build last winteraua. I took the trunnion crossmember completely out of the frame, cut it down and rebuilt it to the size of a standard crossmember and reinstalled it to free up space...

New drop hitch I fabbed using mostly repurposed steel.

Good fab work there, simple and effective.

Swapping in a front axle into the rear

Assuming you're talking about a bobbed truck, to have 4 wheel steering it really would be easier than using a rear straight axle. It would all bolt up. Only complications are the hydraulics and centering pins for on road use.

Starting my 5 ton crew cab project

It's possible that you have ice in your emergency lines on that side. But I'd say a better chance that your brake shoes are seized to the drums. Happens all the time on our commercial style trucks and trailers at work. Just a nice rap of a hammer or large wrench on the brake drum and they should...

    m923a2 license plate location.

Best place I know of for a front plate is in the cab behind the seat with a list of excuses. We're "supposed" to have them here in OH but I absolutely hate what it does to the looks of any vehicle in the front end. I usually scrape them up on the driveway and use the it just fell off last night...

    M923 Bob

Spook, I'm currently bobbing my M925A2 and my plans are the exact same as yours I thought that wheelbase was too short for a 925 in the front rear stock location with almost 3' of winch hanging out front. Also I'm not a big fan of bed overhang or the bumperettes in the rear. I've decided to...

    M929 Big cam 400

That's a good looking rig, I love the subframe dump hoist. I'm planning on doing the same thing to my M925A2 when I finish bobbing it. I'm going to end up with a 10.5' bed it should make the truck a lot more useful in the long run.

Front winch on M936A2, need instructions I can't find on TM.

On mine the lock pin is in the engaged position when the handle is up at 12 o clock, and disengaged when in the 3 or 9 o clock positions. I would imagine they are all the same.

Where to get winch hook safety latches?

You should be able to get them anywhere that sells rigging slings or cables. There's also a lot of sites online to buy rigging hooks, chains, cables, and parts if you could measure it and find the right specs.

    M923 Bobber project

Ok the 1/2" plate spacer would most likely be enough for mine to work as well I must have over looked that part of your build. Thank you very much for your help and information. Your truck looks awesome man.

    M923 Bobber project

I am in the middle of my project and like yours my truck had the ABS sensors in the rear rear axle. After getting the axle under the truck mocking up the plates springs and hangers matching the front axle setup it appears that there is still a clearance issue on the spring brake can no matter...

    M925 deck construction?

You could always take an M923 remove the spare tire rack, move the exhaust stack to the side. Slide the bed up and mount a knuckle boom directly to the truck frame left behind the bed. That would be your strongest option.

    M925A2 Dump Conversion Options

I'm planning on putting a godwin subframe scissor hoist under my M925A2 bed after I bob it and cut the bed down. You find them very commonly under full size single axle dumps (state DOT trucks) they are very strong and reliable
