As I remember it looked like the seal failed. I had the truck on jack stands with that drum off, had just replaced axle seals. We had some friends over and I two playing in the cab. If one of them had pushed the brake peddle it could have perhaps unseated the seals in the wheel cylinder. My bad...

After having a brake cylinder fail last year I decided to upgrade to a split brake system. I've chosen to go with a late A/F a2 system. The conversion looks straight forward. I've picked up a master cylinder from Peashooter and plan on buying the rest of what I need when cash allows.
