Ah I would love to be able to make it this year. I have been intending to go for a while now, but being on active duty stationed a few states away has made it difficult in the recent years and this time around Ill be a few countries away:-(.
I wont be there, but my dad will be there. He is...
Ok excellent. Thanks guys. RAYZER will be doing some work on my truck to get it looking like how it was during 'Nam (for the most part) but those MRAP mirrors looks like a big improvement and are... Cheap!
Ok guys, my question is, what are y'all's thoughts on the MRAP side mirrors on the deuce? I'm talking about the ones with the full fish eye convex mirror on the bottom. I have on my passenger side what appears to be a type of MRAP mirror but the convex mirror on the bottom isn't a full circle...
I am going to buy one of those nice kits clintogf is selling, and I need it transported from Winder, GA to Sanford/Lake Mary, FL. Either I, or RAYZER would be able to receive it.
Thanks!
Wow, those were some of the most expensive lawn ornaments/farm trucks I've seen. So how would these guys make money off them when you could buy a TITLED HMMWV for the same or even less than what they paid for these ones?
Checked out the poppet, it seemed in good shape. No leaks and besides a little road grime on the outside, was sound. So I jumped back in the cab, and played with the winch for half an hour. I have successfully found all the gears. Low and reverse are barely noticeable, but like clinto said, I...
Thanks Gringel, that actually is something else I forgot to mention. I can't tell when it goes into gear, there's no indication of such so I'll check out the spacing and the poppet tomorrow and share what I find.
Ok, I will play with it tomorrow. Lets just say though that I spend a good amount of time on it and still cant find the other gears, is there anything at all it could be?
Ok gents, I cannot find the answer anywhere for my particular question. So here it goes:
I can only get my winch to regularly engage in high out of neutral. I have only found low a couple of times. I have been able to find reverse, but even that's not as consistent as high. Just about...
**** yeah, thanks guys!
Between those 2 threads it is started to click. Seems like all I need is that hard to find o ring/seal where the cable goes into the adapter, but I'll give it a hearty amount of grease to see if that slows it down. It's not as bad of a leak as the ones in those other...
Ok here's the pic with the leak circle. So the thing I have been calling a hose is just a protective sleeve/housing for the speedo cable? Now I am getting somewhere :naner:. So it leaking from where the sleeve goes into the coupling is probably a bad o-ring as previously stated?
I apologize...
Well it's leaking from the red circle, the hose. The 90 degree adapter seems fine. I could even pinch the hose before the fitting that goes into the adapter, and that made it really leak from the coupling thing that's circled in red.
