    Need some new nuts

After spending the last several days trying to break down a set of A3 wheels I gave up and took them to a shop. Hated having to pay someone but my 3/4" impact wouldn't budge them, not even a 6 foot cheater bar. So the guy at the shop said they charge $30 to take old tires off and put new tires...

Lifted 1028 has strange clearance issue.

Just got done lifting the 1028 with 4" HD Tuff Country front springs and also used a zero rate to move the axle forward 1" for a total of 5" front lift. Went with 4" in the back with Tuff Country shocks on all 4 corners. Used 2" wheel spacers so I could fit 37" hmmwv tires and wheels. Passenger...

Bought a replacement bed for my 1028 to replace the flatbed thats currently on it. Bed is in great shape, but as expected came with no bolts. Anyone know off hand the bolt lengths, and do just the front 4 go through top and bottom frame rails? Looks like the back 4 just go through the top rail...

    M1028 frame length question

Anyone with a 1028 or 1008 could you measure your frames length from the rear spring mount back? I have one with a service bed that I want to put a stock bed back on, but I'm afraid the frame has been cut down. From back of spring mount to end of frame is 7 3/4".

Anyone in NC have a fuel blenders license?

Recently moved to NC and it seems this state loves dipping fuel tanks. I want to resume using wmo, but don't want to chance a $2000 fine. Cracked my intake manifold today

Stubborn pipe plug cracked my manifold!!! Been trying to get a pipe plug out for several days to install a cab heater. After numerous soakings with kroil, heating up with a torch, etc the vice grips still kept slipping off, rounding head in process. So I would grind new flats, and repeat...

    Jeep heater in a deuce?

I am having trouble locating a decent priced heater for my truck, but found a nos heater for a M38 for $70. Anyone ever tried these in a deuce, and if so how do they perform? Would be mounted inside the cab, passenger side like the A3's and 5 tons. Any reason this wouldn't work? I know without a...

M818 toolbox on a bobbed deuce

Recently aquired a bobbed deuce where the bed was cut to short for the frame, and ends about an inch or two before the bumperettes. If I keep it I really need to fix it as it looks very tacky this way. I have come up with 2 solutions, the obvious being cutting the frame back to fit the bed...
