I bought two heaters today from NAPA. They quoted me $57 yesterday when I ordered them, and then when they came in a different guy wanted $67 for them. They ended up charging the $57 after a stare down. The part number is KAT30101.
I bought some multicam cordura and had a local upholsterer make seat covers. They look really nice. Unlikely you will find anyone already making them. It was $$$ though.
Saw this while on a new years day drive this week. Turned around and went back to take pics for the rotorheads here. Got the best pics I could of the tail numbers from the road.
I have higher resolution photos if anyone wants them, and also a location in case someone wants that.
A lot of it just sounds like whining to me. But since I don't have to read it, I won't. So whine away.
The site ->works. A lot better now. It is faster and is easier for my tired eyes to read.
I don't like change either but I get that it is often necessary.
I got used to the changes in the GL...
I had a great deuce. Mechanically it was as near perfect as a 44 year old truck can be, and it had great power and drove nice.
Once I had the 923, I hardly ever drove the deuce again. So I sold it and haven't missed it a bit.
If you have a CDL,,, ANY violations and they throw the book at you.
My neighbor is retired and in his 60s, kept his CDL. He got a DUI and had to go to jail. No CDL, no jail time. Of course he shouldn't have been drinking and driving, that was dumb, and after a lifetime of safe driving he got...
I wonder if a small propane bottle could be adapted to good effect as a substitute for ether. It doesn't get that cold here in the NW.
Any Wild Speculation or Dire Warnings about how it would or wouldn't work?
I have 16.00s on my m923. They don't rub ~anywhere. I used HEMTT wheels.
It handles fine, but I don't drive it fast. Has plenty of power, I flat towed an m925 the other day with no issues. I noticed my fuel mileage went from 5 MPG with 11.00s to 7.5 MPG with 16.00s
My m925 which is a great runner, almost didn't start today, ambient temperature 37 degrees, cranked a long time. Was wishing it had the cold start kit on it. The deuce I sold had the kit but never needed it no matter the temperature. These Cummins motors are cold blooded SOBs. Can anyone post...
I bought the battery relocation kit from Andy. It exceeded my expectations. I now have two nice Bostrum air ride seats in the cab and they really take the beating out of the 5-Ton ride.
If you can find the kit, I highly recommend it.
Short answer is replace the motor with one that already runs or part out the truck. If there is water in the oil it is effectively done for considering the cost of the mechanical work to make it run.
Good thing is you can find a good running turboed 350 or 400 complete for around $2500 if you...
Thanks so much for all the hard work. I am in the IT business and I know just what a big project you had to do, and how hard you worked for no pay. Sounds like my job sometimes
I love the new colors and am sure I will get used to the new way things work. It is so much easier to read. I...
Thanks to the link to the Combine Forum, there are good photos of a dual fuel line setup on the third page of the post. Looks simple, think I'll try it.
The generator needs both cooling and combustion air. Running it in an enclosed garage even when the exhaust is going outside will build up a lot of heat.
Yes. And no.
They are heavy built and wired, lots of gizmos a civie has no use for, are extra complicated for no beneficial civillian reason. And the best part is that it is a real pain to get 120/240 out of them with a neutral.
One thing I have noticed here is that there is a lot of...
