I use propane as a power adder on my duramax.

Pennzoil does list a gear oil for GM & Chrysler manual transmissions called synchromesh that they state is yellow metal safe.

Lubed all fittings torqued all drive line nuts & bolts, wheels. inspected all lights changed oil&spin on filters Broke wiper control (dumb ass) ordered new wiper control. more to come

All Gm dealers were sent timesert kits as a required tool see if one will install the proper size cheaper then the kit Just a thought Good luck

If you want an easy to get zinc additive go to any GM dealer and buy a bottle of engine assy. lube woks great to keep flat tappet cams alive and its cheap.
