Gen 2 light was on this morning but only when i was at speed on the road not at idel and it got dimmer as i slowed and then out at idel? It also was not on when i first started the truck. Am i to asume that this light is for the passenger side alt.? Just got to work and have no way of checking...

Has anyone ever heard of a diesel fueled heater for the cab of a M1009? My brother said there was one that was part of the arctic kit that plumbed in to the diesel lines and feed the a unit in the cab? :-)

Started the M1009 up this morning and turned the lights on to find the passenger side turn indecator on solid. Turned that signal on and it blinks. Turned it back of and it stays light. Let the truck warm up and put it in gear to back out and it whent off. Stoped to get fuel and shut everything...

How noisy is your 6.2 lit M1009? My M1009 is a lot noisyer than any new diesel truck i have ever been around or in. Witch i am shure they are going to be. :wink:

Doe's anyone have a good curent part number for a flywheel for a M1009 6.2 l with a th400. I know mine has a bad spot in it. Every once and a wile i get the buzz/ grind but no turn until it gets by that spot. :???:

Does anyone use oil additevs in your 6.2s. Such as restore. I have noteced my uses a bit of oil and it does not leak out anywhere. So i was thinking about useing RESTORE the next oil change. I have used it before in one of my gas powered trucks. My M1009 only has about 69000 miles on it. ;)

I found the camo paint pattern for the M1009 in TB 43-0209 but did not find the paint color that goes with the pattern 1 2 3 i am assuming 2 is od green. Does anyone know what they are.:o

Well getting ready to replace my IP pump on my M1009, and was wondering what tricks or things to look out for before i get started?

A big thanks to beanman1. Finaly got the m1009 started for a couple of seconds yesterday. Got the starter problem solved, now on to the next. IP pump seal on the passenger side is leaking bad. Now that i have a new lift pump it realy leaks. I think this is why i am having a hard time getting it...
