*I searched this topic and found some info. I pulled TM 9-2320-361-20 and found a trouble shooting test for this, but I don't think it addresses what the problem is- but I'm no expert. It's dark out and I'm just looking for some input.*
My batteries are good. The truck starts first time...
Somewhere I have a cartoon picture from PM Magazine saved that shows the simple swap. I followed the cartoon to do mine and everything works... except the brake lights, but they didn't work before the upgrade. And I got my kit from Saturn. I think I got the PM Mag cartoon from one of the...
I have 13 of them. The one with the least tread I would call 75%. The other eleven I would call 85%. Number 13 (the spare) looks like it has never been on the tarmac.
I would like to either sell them or trade them for help mounting tires to rims and then on the truck (maybe flipping hubs in...
The thread on SS I was referring to was a very interesting one, but what you said makes very clear what I need to do. And to make sure, the studs on the tandems will be the proper length and should be safe to use as long as they are in good shape, right?
I thank you very much for your help...
Does anyone have a part number or measurments on the proper length, thread pitch, etc. for replacement studs for HEMTT rims run on a 5 ton? I read that to safely mount the HEMTT rims on an M809 series truck, the studs should be longer and this would only apply to the rear tandems (?). MASIC...
Punisher, I'm in if I can get my 5 ton singled and the Deuce bed installed before the show. Hopefully we can get a road trip together to Ken's and then a super-single party maybe! [thumbzup]
Thank you, guys. I assumed it was the same since I only found one model of temp sending unit on Saturn's web site. It looks like the one in all of the diagrams I've looked at in the TM's.
I still can't figure out the numbers you found, doghead. I searched the PDF versions of the TM's with...
Can anyone confirm or deny that the NSN # for the temperature sending unit of the Cummins NHC250 is 6620-00-814-5271? I have searched the M809 TM's for this number and found how to change it, test it, etc. but I cannot find the replacement #.
The one on Saturn Surplus lists this NSN #, but...
That looks really good and thanks for posting the mod. Would you care to post a side view of your truck and would you happen to remember how much length was taken off your Deuce bed? TIA
It should have all you need in that kit. I got my kit from Saturn and it was all there. You may need some brake fluid to replenish your reservoir when you're done. Then you have to figure out what kind of brake fluid your truck has. The fun never ends!
Here's a suggestion... READ THE TM'S!!!!! JUST KIDDING! (Though reading them is not to be discounted for any TM Police that may be lurking!)
Wish I could help, but electrical problems are not my forte. I have a John Deere LA that had a light that was really dim, then went out. I cleaned...
Thank you, dabtl. I will check all of these. Maybe it's just me, but it always seems that after the truck has run a while, the turn signals will work??? I'll be checking these grounds and seeing what I can find. [thumbzup]
Would the flasher/turn signal box under the hood have any affect on...
I pulled my switch and checked all the contacts with my meter per an article I found on here and all was good. My signals are still intermittent after pulling the blinker lever and cleaning the contact with the steering column. I think my brakes are a ground issue, though. I've searched all...
