Agreed. That's the comaraderie one doesn't get from a TM and half the fun of the hobby for me. The TM's are useful, but I think some attitudes could reduce this site to two sections: "READ THE TM" (for anyone who asks something) and "YO, WHAT'S UP?" (for everything else).
I'm reading the TM's...
I bought the upgrade above and I still don't have brake lights! I just need more time to figure it out. And warmer weather, yeah... warmer weather...
You should get the upgrade anyway, whether you get lights or not afterwards.
I know this is a REALLY dumb question, but one can just buy regular fuel line at an auto parts store and cut to length for the new fuel lines on the selector valve, right? Unless I'm missing something, there should be no need to buy a "kit" from a surplus dealer, right?
I've read about this...
Wreckerman, I live in NY. Do I still qualify? I'm tired of this state and would be happy to just live on a farm in the south. Need a ranch hand???
It has been over 3 years since this thread was active and I was wondering how you guys have made out using the WMO blend in the NHC250. How many miles have you run since blending and have you had any problems with the engine? Thanks for any info!
John
I think I paid $700 or $800. It was on sale when I got it and I saved $50 or a hundred bucks as I recall. It wasn't cheap, but I've had a lot of fun with it. Check out his site. Wolverine Technologies LLC Wolverine Centrifuge for WVO, WMO, Biodiesel
Hi John,
If you knew me better, you'd know those words have crossed my lips many a time. I'm a servant and I'm honored to be one. My oath was to uphold FIRST the Constitution of these United States. I've refused to make arrestes I knew were unconstitutional and I'm still here! I'm...
Thank you, rlwm211. Is yours registered commercial or historical? I have no intention of hauling anything or using it for commercial kinds of things, so the HX plate suits my purpose pefectly. I am a LEO (don't hold it against me; I'm one of the good guys) and could get away with things most...
Thank you, doghead. I read one of your posts in my search, but I don't think you mentioned historic plates in it, just commercial if I recall correctly. I wasn't sure if the HX plate made any difference in the NYS Inspection or not. It has been a long time since I did any V&T out there. One...
My Deuce is registered HISTORICAL in NY.
Registered weight is 26,000 lbs (Max weight for regulary old class D license in NY). I registered it at that because it didn't cost a penny more to do so with historical plates. The DMV lady was surprised as well (big surprise).
Any other New...
Patracy,
Thanks for pointing me to your thread! I missed that in my search. Sometimes I get lucky in a search and other times I miss it. I will read it with enthusiasm...
Thank you all very much for your input- I truly appreciate it.
Wreckerman, I didn't think I needed the beadlocks. Through reading of posts, I thought I understood what they were for. I figured that since the seller included them in the price and I didn't ask for them, it would make it easier...
Guys, I've search and found a lot of info on the split ring wheels and safety issues when airing them up. I have not found any info here that addresses airing up HEMTT wheels with XLZ (my plan for super singled 5 ton). I will also have bead locks in the tires (Do I really need them????) I will...
SEVEN pages of free advice!!! You got a lot more than what you paid for, kid! :-P
I guess above all else, honor your parent's wishes in this. It isn't like you're asking for advice on getting married here, but Mom and Dad have invested more and love you more than anyone on this board. Make...
Face it guys, the young man has the fever. Let's help him out as best we can without getting him in trouble! :-D
If you get around my way this summer after the salt is off the road and I'm around, I'd be happy to let you kick my tires and go for a ride. I don't know you well enough yet to...
