Check your state laws about antique criteria. In FL it doesn't matter the age or size if its a military vehicle. It could be a 2014 and it qualifies from what I understand. Insurance is around 300 here.
I think it was military brass because its 50 cal and not many people shoot 50cal out of a 5 ton truck, Also its Lake City which is one of the brands the military uses. Anyway, it was a cool find and I will keep it. It only has 44K miles on it so I think its in great shape. I put some TLC into...
The data plate says M923. I think they added the hydraulics after. From what I understand, they took off the winch. But, it has everything there except the winch and 2 hoses which I picked up for it already.
I believe it was from military use and not something someone just put in there. I was in the back space tucked away behind the door frame. I didn't notice it until several months after owning it and a when I cleaned out my cab. I guess it doesn't make a difference but it's a cool find anyway. I...
thanks. The extinguisher came with the truck. I'm putting another one on it behind the cab. My truck is a M923 Marine. So, it came with the fording kit, lockers and set up for hydraulic winch
Must have been in military use up to at least that point. I'm not sure if they just let it sit there or kept it maintained. It a Marine version if that makes a difference.
Does this mean that it was in service up to at least 2006? And if so, does that mean the it has been maintained every 3000 miles as it states in the TM?
I got 1 crane and 3 base plates. I replaced the bolts with grade A bolts. I'll put one plate on each side of the truck and one on the front bumper. Then move the crane where I need it.
Upholstered all the seats for 15 bucks. Just under 3 yards of material from Joan Fabrics and was on sale.
FYI the driver seat need self tapping screws.
