DJ,
I have a 1026 and am not real sure what that is. I have looked at tow missle tops and the only difference I have noticed is the blast deflectors around the antenna and along the sides of the hatch, other than that I can not tell them apart.
If you figure it out let me know. There is a...
Good looking wrecker. I use R&O hyd fluid in mine from NAPA, it might cost a little more but I dont' like taking chances on tearing up something expensive.
Also, good luck on the hoses, I just went through a nightmare getting some of mine replaced because they don't make those fittings anymore.
RE: cover
Your lucky to find that. I have been looking for one since I bought my wrecker, I have the bows for the front and rear but have not been able to find the rods and top canvas yet. I probably would rarely use it but I like to have all the accessories that came with the wreckers.

RE: Another thing you can do with A/W crane mounted on a m81
Great pics. I love seeing action shots of wreckers in action.
Kenny,
Can you tell me about the "swivel valve", I knew that they will rotate 360 without the block in place but did not know if you could go beyond that point or not...
I got mine off of the Matco tool truck years ago. You can get any size or style you want from them but any brand tool carrier has them..it only cost $20.00 a week. I have always paid them 20 a week and guess I always will, you can never have to many tools.
I would love to have one also but the funds are just not there.. I did see one advertised for sale in California with or without engines. I will try to find it again and post it here.
I agree 1 million percent with what Hunter2506 said, good job and very welll written. It seems to me that some members are just waiting to get a jab in for someone asking a question. Isn't that what this site is for, sharing information? It doesn't mean that they are LAZY nor to stupid to do a...
Looks good to me, you will have to let us know how the test turn out. My M62 doesn't want' to get warm down here even with a winter cover so that is a good idea.
I wish you the best of luck, I hate bodywork!! I guess because i'm not good at it, but I would have to agree with Jon on this one, you can find a good cab cheap and they are not hard to change.
FRAME
It should be plenty strong enough. I used the same steel as on the frame and broke it to the same dimensions then build a four sided box and bolted to the rear plate on the old frame in the existing 12 places, scab plated it on the sides and attached it to the bed, then made and put the...
