Interesting... I cannot tell for sure but I don't think mine ever even shuts off when I am rolling at higher speeds. It might be though because there is so much other noise and unless I am not in overdrive its a bit hard to hear the fan over everything else. Also seems like once it has had to...
Really appreciate the reply!
1. I have not done this but will today when I take it to the self service wash. Seems unlikely to me because it visually looks really clean but I could be wrong of course.
2. I seriously doubt this is necessary in my case. The reservoir is sparkling clean...
Hi all,
Took my M1123 on a 4 hour round trip plus some fairly hard trails this weekend. Needless to say I was impressed! ATV Riders on the trail were bewildered that a truck was there with them making it through the tough obstacles so well.
However, the fan is running a lot on the highway/...
Update- temp gun actually only ready about 185. I changed out the gauge and operating temps for me are about 205 - 220. Much better lol... only issue now is the fan seems to run almost constantly on the highway and anything over 40 MPH. Time to start replacing parts and hoping for the best...
Hello,
Took the humvee out for a drive around the neighborhood today and noticed temps over 240 (on the temp gauge anyway).
I went ahead and popped the hood and noticed my fan appeared to be freewheeling so I did the usual of unplugging the TDM to see if it really was not spinning. I could...
Hi All,
I just got done replacing the old box in my Humvee which is the model very prone to failure (forgot which one specifically) as well as the temp sensor/glowplug controller or whatever its called.
Unlike before the Humvee now fires right up without fail every time.
My only worry is the...
Currently in the process of installing a CDR valve in my 6.5.... I have no clue what I am doing and can’t find any resources on this.
MY Humvee did not come with a valve, just an elbow connecting the two rubber hoses (see pic)
can someone please let me know how to instal this thing? It would...
Mine had that at first but its since freed up. Plunger wont move still though. Was there any noticeable performance difference after you had the pump rebuilt?
Hi All,
I have a fairly unique issue on my 6.5 in my M1123.
The truck came in a few weeks ago and was almsot immaculate. Truthfully believe it only has 500 miles on it.
However, its probably been sitting for at least 5 years if that is the case, maybe much longer.
One of the things that...
Ok sounds good! I definitely want to off road it quite a bit hence why I am willing to go pretty aggressive on the tires.
I am going to try my luck with a 2 inch lift, stock I believe they have 37 inch tires so I figure if I bolt on 40s (39.5 to be exact) and lift it 2 inches I will only really...
Thinking of going to some 39.5 Super Swamper Iroks... that being said I am going to start with a 2 inch body lift and if that is not enough I will go drop in some spring spacers and get another 2 inches or so.
The only thing I am concerned about is the tire width. I want to run my original...
