I NEED to be able to back this trailer into my backyard through a 25' wide chainlink gate (gas meter on east side, neighbor's fence on west), and this is coming 90-degrees off of a 25' wide residential alley with fences along both the north and south sides. Bear in mind that this trailer is 26'...
Anybody ever regret bobbing there Deuce? It's not like a bad hair cut that grows back in a couple weeks. When its wacked there is no turning back. Just wondering.
Mount a Pintle Hitch on the front of your truck. You can chase it around better if you see it.
Looking at your old trailer with little rust almost makes me want move where they don't salt & calcium chloride the roads. It looks like your driving down a gravel road with a dust plum following you...
Camper M105
Here is my M105 with camper, I'm just pulling it out to the back 80 with a dozer. So know one get there panties in a wad about clearances, brakes or lights.
When I wired my M101A1 for 12v, switched my light assemblies flipped them and bolted them with the black outs up. Makes the lights more visible, if your not using the black outs anyway.
The only thing I dislike about my M101 is those great big traction tires on it. Makes the trailer to tall. I think a smaller tire would be great, do they have a decent load rating? I have a couple 16/245 off a one ton I'm going to try, should drop my height 2".
I flipped the light assemblies...
I'm not much of a mechanic, but if you drop the two cylinders won't it miss and be really of balance? With the six cylinders aren't you firing a cylinder every 60 degrees of rotation. If you drop two cylinders there is a big gap in the firing order, my thoughts it would run like crap.
Puzzled,
When I did mine, built a longer center cable so the neg was on the left & pos on the right at the back of the battery box. It pulls out like it should, with plenty of slack in the cables. Also ran two pieces of flat stock the other way so it ties each battery length ways and welded them...
I will never buy another Interstate or NAPA for my own stuff ever again. We have have about a 70 batteries in logging equipment, trucks, tractors and buses. Strong Box and Hibernator from John Deere are the best. They will honor the warranty. Interstate will screw you every time, 13 months and...
Besides a belt and light bulbs, whats the magic part to keep you going? When I was running a 360 Dodge camper, always carried a ballast resistor, and an ignition module. Is there a similar Deuce part you should carry?
Just put in two Wal-Mart 750 cca, 3 year free replacement batteries in tonight, $80.00 ea. The truck always started alright with the government Interstate till one dropped a cell, these new batteries really spin it over fast. First start up since I laid it up in November, popped off quick. And...
Found this on line;
I just wanted to add my 2 cents. Well a nickle really, considering that I work for Snap-on and we over charge for everything
I was reading on your site about 'who makes what tools' Who Makes What Tools. One part explians that the various manufactures use 'the exact same...
Forgot the most important part of this post, my Dad, brother and I own 8) 3116's in Chevy school buses. Four with 4 speed Allison auto's that get 9 mpg. Four with 5 speed manuals that get 11 mpg. Both vary about +/- 1/2 mpg, so if someone tells me there getting 17mpg in a six wheel drive truck...
