Seems I remember Trango (or maybe Vintage Iron)... stuffing a 9 or 13 spd if I recall into either an 800 or 900 series truck some time back... I have heard that the T case has to be moved back some and the front drive shaft tends to hurt the process of a twin counterbalance trans...

The LED thing im trying to hash out now as i have no lights on my trailer even after leds and an adapter plug. There are converter boxes that do the conversion as well as the 24...

    "Rescued" M816 Wrecker

Ok, that is normal, if the clutch can is working, the truck clutch will be on the floor when you activate the rear air lever (johnny bar, its a johnson bar from a semi tractor) if your air leak is heard after you activate the johnny bar, then you have a leak in the copper tube and or the can

    "Rescued" M816 Wrecker

Is the rear air lever actuating any air at all? If there is an air leak near the transfer case it sounds like the pwr divider line is leaking air and your air isnt making its way to the rear controls

    "Rescued" M816 Wrecker

You are engaging the power divder behind the seat, trans in 3rd or 4th, tcase in nuetral. Then engage rear air lever, shift rear winch in nuetral/disengaged, shift crane to engaged, then release rear air lever. Correct?????. If the rear air lever isnt working, the same can be accomplished by...

M936A2 wrecker boom cable broke at clevis end with pics

ordinarily I would agree with you,,, however Im not dealing with the big 3' diam oaks that I grew up around in the southern Appalachians,,, out here a large sagebrush is considered a tree and if a Ponderosa Pine is 8" in diam its considered old growth..... Im just pulling 10-15ft logs more...

    "Rescued" M816 Wrecker

Clutch needs work. Can't control it from the rear controls. Check the air can on the pass side that actuates the clutch for the rear controls.... if need be run a new air line (plastic air brake line) to the can, and retest. If the can is not expanding, DO NOT BUY from the suppliers...

Thanks 73M819 Thats the info I was looking for, just didnt want to spend $300+ on a 100ft of cable to find out. I actually rethreaded mine with 1/2 when I snapped the original cable.... bought some chokers and made a logging choker cable out of the remnants. This is the "Beckett that I...

An alternative to the Park brake Switch

thats cool, I have never worried about my park brake switch as my park brake wont hold my 19 ton M816 anyhow. The switch your using is for a Jake brake and yes they are very cheap compaired to factory OEM equipment. If that retro fit switch is more than $20 look elsewhere, as your getting...

Well,,,, sprung for a pyro at napa the other day,, I hate mickey mousing things but I needed to run the truck so the pyro is held to the top of the dash via one of the defroster screws. will find a permanant mounting location that the shifter wont destroy later. So draggin the dozer up a 6%...
