    peel & seal

How did it go? Been wanting to do a roll on liner in my oh9 but had thought about this stuff too. I've roofed with it and know you only have one chance to get it into place. Also, it's tougher than nails. Any words of wisdom on what not to do? Pictures?

Well, I think I may have figured out the problem. :oops:aua I looked again at everything when it was "warm". I noticed that the rubber fuel line I had ran behind the rear battery looked "a little flat" and it was also a bit soft. Hadn't seen that before, had always been looking for wet...

I didn't know about the deal with the hot pump. I'll try the water trick next time it happens. I've been putting in 2 cylce oil w/the fuel lately. Before that I was using Power Service "White bottle" thru the winter months. I got the rig in November and started the PS in December. I have...

Yeah, that's what it's doing. That's also what I was hoping it wasn't. I have zilch experience with IP's. If it was a gas engine, I'd say that it was getting vapor locked. Well, I guess I'll have to start thinking about getting it rebuilt or get a different one. Thanks for the shout!!

I see a few have read this but so far I've stumped the panel. I kind of hoped it wouldn't be an "easy" answer (so I didn't look like a total dummy) but I hoped someone would have an idea. I'd read a couple of posts with people mentioning something on this order but never saw that they had it...

    starting issue

I’ve read the TM’s and did a bunch of searches but haven’t found anything quite like my issue. A little background first, to start with it's a M1009 with no modifications except that I’ve replaced the OEM fuel filter with a spin on unit. The glow plugs were replaced with AC60G’s about 6...

    Cell Phones

A few years ago my family and I (wife, 3 kids) were rear ended in a city 90 miles from here. The traffic in front of me stopped and I slammed the brakes on. The van behind of me never hit the brakes and put her bumper just about to my back seat. I was taken to the hospital for a look see but...

    Spin on Fuel Filter

I did the same thing but also put the wires inside of a small plastic bag. Just to try and keep them clean and dry, in the event I need to use them again some day. Just my2cents

Wreckerman and Elmo AL to NE

Hey A/C, they must be in the wrong part of the state. Up here in the NE corner it's alot better......... more cows than pigs. It was beautiful here today near the Mississippi.................... only 102 degrees and 80% humidity. Being from Florida you should know how that felt. But if you...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

Built a console and installed a stereo and two speakers in it along w/storage space. Then by the rear seat put the other two speakers on the ends. Removed the pintle and had the boy weld a receiver on that plate. Sticks out about 6 inches and can be used as a step. Then soldered in a plug...

Whats the reason behind motor oil in the fuel tank..?

Good info! I just wish I had seen it BEFORE I opened up my new jug of Lucas Upper Cylinder last night when I fueled up. The Super Tech Outboard is right behind you when you're grabbing the Lucas at my local Wally World. I've just spent my last $9 on the Lucas. Thanks!

    Seth at Ft McCoy

Have to agree 100% on the guys there! We'd been there a few times before to look at units. Then we went to pick mine up back in October. We told them when we'd be there and they had jumped my oh9 and let it run for awhile. So we got to it, turned the key, she fired up and drove it onto the...

Poll - Who has done the Doghead Relay Conversion

After reading a couple of horror stories, did the relay conversion right after the spin on fuel filter conversion. Would of done it first but it was leaking fuel. The first time I hit the starter the "snap" caught my attention!

Recommended tire size for m1009 and other related questions

I've got an oh9 that is "stock". Yeah the 31x10.50's looks small but it gets around quite well. We've gone muddin a few times with it and it does quite well. Mine is used as a dd and only getting around 15mpg. Not quite sure why after reading some people getting 25mpg. I've thought about...

Stereo advice from some sound guys plz

If you do go to the fuse block, it does have a couple of places to grab 12 volt keyed and constant. BUT there are a couple of spots that ARE 24 volt, don't ask me how I know. A test light will last about 1/10 of a second on those. So use a voltmeter before you just use your test light...

My CUCV spin on fuel filter mod

I've got the same spin on setup here in NE Iowa. It got down to -30 last winter and I didn't have any issues with fuel gelling. I did add Power Service to the fuel though.

    CUCV Fuse/Relay Map?

Glad you found them CB! Nothings as irritating as knowing you've got somthing saved, somewhere, and then can't find it. Thanks for posting these picts. For some reason I didn't save these but did this time. And yes, thanks to Warthog for taking the time to take them and share with the rest...

    CUCV Fuse/Relay Map?

I think these are the picts you're talking about. I do believe that they were posted by Warthog (thanks!). I went in search of, in my oh9, after I got them so now I know what they are.

    Looking for GL bid advice

I know wreckerman is right on the transporting statement. I won a M1009 last year from a GL in Wisconsin. After we got it home I was cleaning it out and found a piece of paper in it. On it was a unit number etc from a base in North Carolina! It's running better everyday. It's my daily...
