good question, it just said 300 amp on the package, i would think that is probably at 12v though.
back of package says it is ideal for farm, marine, and motorsport 12/24v
You may want to bring an old pair of shoes. Mine was sitting in ankle deep muck from all the rain. Smelled like an old cow pasture lol. Had to pressure wash the tires to get the smell off.
I was there recently. They moved them from blanding to butler. In the back of a tow yard storage lot. The owners released it to me. My truck seemed untouched by locals, still had slave cables and some other items under the seats.
Yea I was thinking something is up, I've been around my fair share of military hmmwv's and I've never seen a cap like this while performing a PMCS. Thanks for confirming.
I have a breather vent type deal on my oil filler. Do I need it? Should I have a plain cap on there? Does this mean it has excessive blow by and someone stuck it on there?
The PCB has stopped self cranking, I still don't trust it so I leave the neg battery cable off until I buy one (i'll end up taking you up on that offer). In the meantime, the PCB sounds like it continues to cycle the glow plugs even after the truck is running, I hear an audible click on and off.
Yea tomorrow I will pressure wash all the crud off the suspension, underbody and wheel wells, then I plan on hitting the grease points. I saw the red tacky grease today at the store and will probably go with that, thanks for the info because I didn't see any of the GAA stuff.
Changed out most of the fluids today.
Engine Oil - Rotella 15w40 (was low, only about 6 quarts came out). Purolator 34631. I had some water drain out when I took off the old filter, no idea if that means I have coolant contamination issues or what but it was not mixed and milky looking, it was...
I was curious what brand/weight everyone is running in their trucks, preferences and opinions

Transfer case - DexronIII? Synthetic?

Bad news, recovery mode wasn't able to rejuvenate them, which is fine. The date on the batteries was 2005 and they just didn't have life left in them. I couldn't even get one ball to float in my battery tester. I don't think I would have trust them if I were to have got them going again, and I...
I was thinking of removing or relocating the divider in the battery compartment, so I can fit cheaper rectangular group 31 batteries. I may remove the first aid kit holder and the slave cable receptacle since I won't ever be slaving it. The group 31 are a few inches longer lengthwise.
Any...
Confirmed... the bolt holes on the bracket match up with the drilled holes in the center tunnel just behind the doghouse, where the radio rack would have been. THANKS.
