For those of you that have done the civvy 6.5 turbo swap have you kept it 24 volt or switched to 12 volt? I have ran across a awesome deal on a civvy 6.5 turbo with a 4x4 4l80.

Is ther such an animal? If not is there a reputable sye that is not a hack and tap? Haven't broke the slip yoke on the CUCV yet but did on my 81f150 with 4.9 I6 and 4 spd trans. Also only 33" tires and 4.10 gears.

This is great but does anyone have the info to make a 6 or 7 wire civi plug(turn, stop, backup, park, trailer brake(opt), 12+, grd?

That pic helps alot, just wondering if there is one that matches up to the 7 pole trailer wiring?

I just bought my first CUCV. A 85 M1008. 103k miles. I am going to use my truck in my business to pull my trailer with skid steer and do general duty in the woods and in the field. Any ideas on an adapter from the military plug on the rear bumper for a standard trailer wiring plug? Thanks...

Cummins would be awesome. Can the front axle be driven by a "normal" transfer case, such as an NP205, without alot of modifications? Rusty
