Wife wants me to do the unthinkable due to the Florida DMV debacle!

"Unless compliant", yes you have to add backup lights and get them inspected, etc. No different from any other vehicle.

Wife wants me to do the unthinkable due to the Florida DMV debacle!

HMMWV's are no longer sold with "off road only" restrictions on the SF97 so I don't see the issue. No one is discussing anything remotely illegal.

SF97 is in my hands. It was signed by USMC on 10/31/2022.

    Current EUC Wait Time

Well my last update was that my SF97 was sent in a batch to USMC on 10/26/22. I decided to be patient and not ask for any updates for 4 months. Well today I ran out of patience and asked for another update. Guess what? They have my paperwork sitting in their office and it will ship today...

For those of you looking for a good battery charger at a good price for 24 volt syst.

See my post above, for some chargers this is not supported. Its important to verify.

For those of you looking for a good battery charger at a good price for 24 volt syst.

In the case of the NOGO Gen series, yes. For other brands (and some other NOCO models) the answer will vary. Sometimes they require the negative side of each bank to be common, which means it will only work for 12v batteries in parallel. When in doubt, contact the manufacturer.

NOCO Gen5x2 is still made and its what I use.

Self Canceling Turn Signal - NOT the wheel ring

Honestly I think that would be annoying if you are sitting at a light and your turn signal turns off because you waited too long. Keep it manual and simple like everything else on the hmmwv, dont do my thinking for me.

AM General to make JLTV'S now

From what I understand, the government owns the rights to the final design, so anyone can make it. The manufacturers were paid through grants to design the vehicles, so they dont own the design. I'm sure AM General can outsource some of the components back to Oshkosh if that makes sense...

    M1165 issues

If I recall correctly, mine were pretty damn tight and I think I used some lube on the screws. In all honesty you might wanna try just forcing them.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

The wiring is already there, just need to swap out the connectors. There is a mounting plate but it needed to move forward slightly to fit the IR light. So I had to drill some new holes in the hood. Honestly it wasnt super elegant, and there was probably a better way. But my hood is pretty...

    M1165 issues

Could always measure the ID of the threads with dial calipers. I also would be hesitant to use a tap. If they are distorted lock threads you will damage that.
