just_enough,
I'll bet Lil Ruthie would love to pose for your t-shirt. She's got it all - fresh CARC make-up, winch, three axles, and most important... duals on the rear. She's not cradling her 50BMG up in the gun ring, but let her know when you want to do a 'girls with guns' t-shirt.
The Northern Illinois Chapter MVPA provided MV's for the CMOH opening ceremony in Chicago at Soldiers Field. This is the kickoff for the CMOH convention activities. The Congressional Medal of Honor Society 2009 Chicago Commit to Courage Convention
It was a real 'privilege' for the club to...
I have the newer version of that radar on my boat. It gives coordinates, course direction and speed of other craft within range. Easy enough then to send targeting data to the deck gun(which they don't allow me to have on Lake Michigan)... BTW was there a gun ring on the truck?:-D
M1075,
You shoulda seen what the M911 was haulin'! It was a dually M105 type trailer with troop seats and behind that a water trailer. Made backing up the three look like it was nothing. He did however leave his 'mark' on the perfectly manicured Rochelle airport lawn.
Nothing beats the waterborne CARC, sprays good, water clean-up, durable and everything proof.
My Sherwinn Williams Industrial supplier has shut me off too. Using my business account I was able to get all the CARC we needed for the Lil' Ruthie deuce the last few years. But our last request came...
aboonski,
Do you have any more contact information on the seller of the tach's? I'd like to track one down. The nsn doesn't show up on the Kascar parts page, where I get most of the mil-parts.
It's a High Maintenance Money Wasting Vehicle.
And like Emmado22 said, Austin Aviation has gov't liquidation prices while Kascar has military retail.
One way or another everything is available. My personal favorite was finding a replacement HMMWV TOW missile cushion, kinda restricted...
RE: Treid to buy a Military Red Dot A/C for my HMMWV....
Kascar wants $3800 for the AC kit, but the price may be lower when the supplier deal is done.
Anyone know what the Calgold guys are asking?
wiggall,
You must be referring to the 25% reduction in defense spending the current congress is planning. That should loosen up a lot of surplus for us. rofl
Kenny,
Yeah, LilRuthie's tire setup was the coolest. Kinda kept the traditional duals 'look' in the back, but then had that no-nonsense look from the front. The Bostrom hi-back air-suspension seat was a nice upgrade too.
BS'ing with the guys at Fort Sheridan top speed was a issue. But I believe it's just like the throttle limit screw under the pedal of the Deuce put there for the inexperienced driver.
Be sure to post a pic after you powerwash it.
I think the A3 will have it's place in MV history as the short...
Bruce,
Well you got a good one there, and at a good price too. Yup, that's what the Staff Sergeant said, it had been warmed up periodically with all the other vehicles and was confident it would start right up. Chris(son) and I eyeballed it all over(and over) and gave it a thumbs up, and it was...
Bruce is that the one from Fort Sheridan in IL?, looks like the pics. We drove over too inspect it and it was a beauty, low miles. The sgt said he'd never pick the A3's to drive becuse he was old fashioned and liked the shifting in the A2 or 5 ton. He never warmed up to them.
I was looking to...
