I suggest posting on g503as well. Lots of good info on armor there too. Most M3A1 Stuarts had 7 cylinder radials Continental W670. They have a nice annual event in Berwick PA near the ACF factory and original test track. A local nonprofit group bought a runner and are in the process of...
I will be at the show Friday. Not sure what I need, but I am sure I will know when I see it. I would like to find M3A1 scout car parts maybe a Dodge WC.
I note your signature says buy/sell/trade. Please keep me in mind if you come across any scout cars for sale. I am plugging away on my car, but keep looking for a better one.
My trailer is 81" between the fenders. I made a set of ramps the shape of the fenders. The HMMWV tires were several inches over the fenders on both sides. 85" is a good estimate. My tires were not fully inflated, so the foot print was wider.
I picked up the HMMWV and it runs great. Still waiting on the SF97. You all know the first two rules of Fight Club, don't talk about fight club (at least not publically).
I went through the process of enhanced inspection to get a reconstructed title on a Jeep I sank. You can build a car and get a title. I went through a process trying to get insurance on a tube frame rock crawler and not having a vin was a problem, but I was not about to put fenders, lights and...
New to the HMMWV scene. Waiting on my SF97 from GP. Looking to get some info on paperwork and maintenance issues from other PA owners. I am in central PA.
This will be the most modern MV I have messed with. The WW2 stuff is simple but expensive.
One sold in Ohio this summer for around $25,000. The tub had been blasted and it looked to have the fenders, but the pics I saw had no drivetrain or radiator. There was one sold at the Littlefield auction for $80,000. Parts are expensive. I have a friend with a nice M20 and another working...
There is a brand Common Sense fasteners. I ordered them from Amazon, same seller on eBay. Some have mounts for screws or rivets some have prongs to be folded over to mount on canvas.
I can see you packing for the trip:
welder or microwave?
Heating hot pockets is easier with the microwave than with a welder, so I'll bring the microwave.
Can't make this ride, headed to another park with jeeps that weekend.
i am getting to drive lots of MVs, including WW2 armor.
have a...
I will be there Friday morning. Picking up some M3A1 scout car parts and looking for more. Then headed to Ike's farm and the Liberation of New Oxford for the weekend.
Glad to hear the 350 is a good swap. I plan to keep the original drivetrain, but swap it out for a 350/SM465/205 combo from a Chevy. I have had tom woods build jeep driveshafts. I am hoping to modify the driveshafts from the donor truck, not sure what to do about mating to the Timken axles.
I need a steering box, mine is a Ross part number T262986. I have read that this box was used in M2 halftracks and is smaller than the TA series used in the M3 halftracks.
i would appreciate any leads on getting a good box.
