We always have some civilian vehicles along or some spare seats. I am hoping to bring my newest vehicle this time. It will be painted OD, military themed and an off road monster.
Welcome, I am in Berks, the county to the east of Lebanon. Lots of MVs in the area. Get a CUCV before April 11 and bring it to our next rally at Rausch Creek in Tremont PA in Schuylkill County. Or bring a civilian vehicle and drive it or ride along in an MV. The RC Rally is posted in the...
Welcome. We are practically neighbors. There are a lot of mil vehicles in the area. We also take a few off roading trips to Rausch Creek each year. The next trip the weekend of April 11.
Shenkman has a lot on his plate. We should discuss dates and reach a consensus. I think moving it to April would be good idea. The weather should b a bit warmer than March.
The full float conversion from http://hermtheoverdriveguy.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/full-floater-axle-kit-001.jpg
is $900. Having decorative hubs machined to install between the studs and wheel, would be pretty simple.
I have read that the Spicer 23 axles were not very strong, the Dana...
MD Juan makes the tubs that Bensinger, Omix Ada and others sell. I understand that their quality has improved with user feedback. I am happy with the fit and quality of the tub. I looked at a lot of 70 year old jeeps with tubs with layers of paint, patches and bondo and dents that did not...
It has a DL Bensinger tub and a number of original MB and GPW parts along with a 12 volt conversion. I really like it. An original is worth a lot more, but I can use this one all I want without worry about wear and tear.
Posted about the 1947 MB2A I bought back in October in the Rausch Creek Fall 2014 thread, but did not post here. I have two CJ-2A jeeps and had been looking for an MB or GPW. I do a lot of off roading and am a member of several jeep clubs.
Don't worry about the Mog, it is tougher than an anvil. You will have enough to worry about each time you hit a rock on the trail and whether it will knock something out of whack in your steering or whether you just punched a hole in your fuel tank. I'll bet you will wish you took the time to...
Shenkman will have to be on good behavior with his son in attendance. So he should have an easier time waking up, opposed to his usual drunken stupor. Maybe starting his truck at 7:30 or so will help wake him up, or we could tie a rope around the bottom of his sleeping bag and literally drag...
That white cherokee was winter camo, that counts. 35" tires, ARB locker in the front and Detroit in the rear with 4.56 gears, I miss that station wagon.
AMC Eagle, that is a station wagon, next I suppose you will suggest newer station wagons, like Cherokees, be allowed as well. Any station wagons on the trails had better be green.
