We usually hangout around a campfire and cook dinner. Rausch Creek does not allow driving trails after dark. You could drive into Pine Grove, nice old town or go any of a number of places for dinner if you want.
I don't know, but without beadlocks I would not go below 10-15 on a regular tire, probably the same for a super single. All that said, I don't think you are going to get a lot of sidewall flex out of super singles, they have really strong sidewalls.
Welcome from Pa. We have a rally at Rausch Creek Offroad park on the weekend of April 10-12. Here is a link http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?134832-PA-Spring-2015-Rausch-Creek-Steel-Soldiers-Rally
i have registered a bunch as antiques, $75 lifetime registration and no inspections...
Getting back on track, we have had a dozen trips with no personal drama, though there has been a bit of vehicular drama. The fact that there are so many repeat attendees speaks for the quality of the group and the event.
Nice to hear from someone who has both. If the seller had not gotten flaky I would have bought a titled HMMWV a year ago. I was a bit concerned about wadding it up in the woods on trails cut for jeeps, but was planning to use it hard.
I keep watching the GP auctions. I have two friends...
The rally threads are in the event section. We have spring and fall rallies. The next one is October. You are welcome to join this one with what ever you want to run. I'd be happy to drink beer and talk smack around the campfire with you. We usually have 20-30 vehicles, everything from 5...
Greenjeepster, bring your off-road only HMMWV on a trailer down to Rausch Creek in PA. We are having our semi-annual rally next month 4/10-12. I'll follow your HMMWV anywhere you can go, then we can see if you can follow me. I nearly bought a titled HMMWV a year ago, I do like them, but they...
Also a diesel mog is probably going to cost twice what a 404 costs. I would love a 406, but the 404 is a lot more common and cheaper. The HMMWVs have huge flat floor pans. When they get stuck in the mud buried to the floor pans, there is a lot of suction/drag, not much of similar size is...
The other guys said it nicer, but your comment is almost completely BS. As the owner of a 404 ii feel obliged to respond. A 404 is very capable off road. 82HP is not great, but they are geared well, locked and great articulation which keeps the tires on the ground, that is why they are so...
I just got into reenacting. There are two halftracks in the group I joined here in PA. The guys are not active on this site, but have tons of knowledge and probably know folks in England who know the vehicle your are interested in or someone who does. For the money you are looking to invest...
Andy, I was just about to post a nasty comment about Joe's Cherokee, now I need to refrain, given you are bringing a GC. Frankly the GC and XJ work great off road.
Need to finish the cage, install suspension seats and harnesses. OD paint and markings like my MB. Jerry can holder, canvas top and windshield mounted gun rack.
That is an outrage. Clearly photoshopped. Your criminal skills have completely destroyed my faith in the internet. Now I can't believe anything I read and only half of what I see. If you could go more than a few days between hospital visits you could come up and help me finish the roll cage...
