    Deuce muffler bracket

All I installed a muffler on my deuce, the same one as Desert Rat and the others have been using. I didn't like my mirror braces rubbing the muffler, so i took them off and put a 15 degree kink in each one with my 1/2" conduit bender. I straightened out the existing bends about 15 degrees in...

How does the GL process work?

One thing to watch on the Montgomery sales.... I have seen several nice looking trucks that are being sold with NO SF97. In other words, you are SOL as far as a title. They still brought a good bit of cash.

is it possible to add a pto to a 1983 m35azc which was build

One of the old PTO companies used to have an interchange chart, I had one back in the '70's. It listed the tranny numbers, then listed which PTO would fit. That allowed you to see if a Chevy 4 speed PTO would fit an IHC 5 speed, etc. I cannot for the life of me recall which company had the...

is it possible to add a pto to a 1983 m35azc which was build

The transmission PTO would be the best bet. You can go find some old mechanic who works on old dump trucks and he can help find one that fits. You will only need a single speed PTO, that makes things easier. Mount your hydraulic pump near the PTO, run a drive shaft to it, and hook up the hoses...

    Pics of Super Singles

Yep! That's the one! Talk about a first class job, I am really impressed with the work. Question: Do the 12.50R20's or 395-85's need the bead surfaces trimmed down like Gerhard's? Or, can the rims be left alone?

Question on the "Bobbers"....and "Short Truck

Thinking about it. The one I have to pull up from S Ga. probably has frame damage where the rear winch they had mounted got torched off. The back body is already trashed, so it would be a good candidate. I have a 1-D motor for it, and enough odds and ends to put it back together. It would be a...

    Pics of Super Singles

Gerhard How about posting your wheel building procedure? It is one of the best writeups I have seen! All Gerhard (in my old stomping ground, Montevideo Uruguay) Has an extremely well written procedure for making 2 piece double beadlock whels for the deuce. He sent it to me in Microsoft Word...

Question on the "Bobbers"....and "Short Truck

The M-105 makes it look kinda like an old stepside Jeep pickup. A little "sportier". The cut down deuce body with duals looks more like a big truck. I guess it is all in the individual's preference. I like the M105 conversion, reminds me of my old 1967 J-2000.

Best source for Primer and or Paint ......

Whatever you do, make sure the surface is clean. Hit it with some OsPho, or the equivalent. I like the flat black PPG 2 component primer, it is really tough. Once you do that, any decent topcoat will do. I cannot stress enough the need to properly prepare your metal! Remember, you don't paint...

How does the GL process work?

I have bought an engine, and some LAV towbars. They charged 10% buyers premium, then Ga. sales tax. My EUC on the engine took 2 weeks to clear. I have looked at some trucks on the Albany Ga. lot, and at Anniston. They were mostly complete, but looked to have been sitting topless in the rain for...

    title

Ga. does not require a title for the older ones, just a tag receipt from another state. I went ahead and got the Alabama title for my deuce and used it to get a Ga. title, in case I ever sell it to someone out of state.

    Deuce tires, wet pavement traction

They are Uniroyal Unisteel G286. I picked up a couple at Berg Supply for $35 each a while back. They ride very smoothly on the highway. I admit, I like the looks of NDT's better, but they don't have the ride qualities. Traction either, from what I see posted.

Ok - what size passenger vehicles fit in a M35 cargo bed?

I have my brackets made already, I took some pictures from an E-Bay listing, and some from Kenny, and faked them. The bar itself is a pretty simple minded affair, I am using 2.25"x.25" wall tubing, since I had it already. Mine will be about 5' long, I see no reason to make the length adjustable...

    Deuce tires, wet pavement traction

My radials do really well in the rain. I still slow down, as I know my stopping distance is increased.

    status update(on main bearings)

I have a boat winch that mounts to the arm of my engine hoist. I used a rig like that years ago to get dumptruck transmissions in and out. 2 eyebolts in the top cover holes and you are ready to go!

    Deuce forum Monster Garage team

Sanity?? What sanity??? They're watching all of us, you know. They will be using a secret, radioactive, mind control unit on all of us before long!! We will have the irresistible urge to watch re-runs of "The Donnie and Marie Show".

    Hi all, new here.

Opie That is a data tag I have not yet seen. Just goes to show, there are as many variations as there are deuces.
