I've got the extra high cargo cover that you can comfortably walk around in. I welded the fridge to the floor, along with the sink and counter top. I have a microwave that plugs into the 110v outlet strips that run down each side. I have a kerosene heater that is bolted to the floor. Just need a...
so i need a weighted tag to drive my 1956 pontiac? my 1955 pontiac? My jeep cherokee? my 1972 cutlass? i don't think so, and they all weigh in over 4K with a tank of gas and me in it. better not take my gf to dinner, i might get an overweight ticket
i have a regular passenger plate on my deuce, not antique. I've been pulled over once, for running a stop sign. Was given a verbal warning and nothing was said about weight. However, I do know that the passenger tag is good for 7,000 lbs, and i believe you are allowed to tow up to total of 9k...
in your first post, you said you asked how to retract a bid, not to retract a bid. Could you clarify if you were just asking how to do it and they suspended you, or if you actually asked to retract a bid.
yeh i just don't want to drive that far for a bed.
as for the cherokee that's pretty unique, never seen a paint job like that. Are you required to have fender flares and mudflaps in utah? I'm just so used to seeing all the jeeps around me with out any that it looks weird seeing them
ughh, mine look slightly different, and i don't have any L brackets like that. I guess i need to get pics of mine to show. The bottom of the seats (the whole metal bar) is different than yours, it's more of a c channel than an L shape. pics will help
I have a set of troop seats and bows that came with the m1008 i got, but i cannot figure out how to mount them. Can anybody help and put up some pictures?
well according to that gear calculator that somebody posted, 2700rpm is just about 55. It that a safe rpm to cruise at for 2-3 hours or still a bit high?
we have a few spray guns and a compressor. My dad paints a lot of cars, i usually do the priming and wet sanding, but i decided to take over on this one
give me a hmmwv and i'll get it registered in NC. I've been through this kind of stuff before, and deal with the inspectors many times a year. It's not impossible.
well the m1009's come with 6 lug 10bolts front and rear with a 3.08 gear ratio. That is the weakest set of axles put in the full size chevy/gmc trucks. If you go civilian, you at least have a chance at a 12bolt rear, which is a much stronger than a 10 bolt. ALso could come with a dana 44 up...
if you want to civilianize it, why not just start with a civilian one. Then you can have ac, carpet, radio, nicer interior, possibly even cruise control and better axles.
whoever drove it did not know how wide it was or how to drive. the poor passenger side has dents all over it. One day we'll get a new bed and door for it; but it's a truck, it's gonna get ding'd up getting used.
