my truck also has the long stack. the army ghetto rigged it into a makeshift 109. Lights and electrical outlets in the back. My guess is that the longer exhaust keeps the smoke off of the tarp.

i would gladly pay a shop to do it if there were any near where i lived that wouldn't charge a lot of money per tire.
How do you use the duckbill hammer? do i swing it or hit it with something else? Which way is it held and swung and to where?
I know i've seen lots of threads with people talking about taking stock tires off, or putting new ones on, but none of them really explain how to do it. I have absolutely no clue. I know that the split ring has to come off, but i don't know how.

if i ever do this, i depress clutch, shift tcase to high, shift from 5th to 4th, then let the clutch back out. If i have a passenger, i usually have them pull the t case as i shift from 5th to 4th so it goes faster. Never heard a grinding sound. I only do this if i am pulling something heavy...
With the condition it is in, yeh too much. Poor paint and incorrect windows do a lot to turn people off. I bet if you had good paint on it you would be getting some interest
I thought about that, but our 2 other trucks with the new airpack have nothing there as well, also, i'm pretty sure the thread size in the front of the new air pack is smaller than the long one
in the pic, you can obviously tell which is the old long and which is new. Look at the front of the airpacks (left side of pics)
the black plastic thing on the front with 2 prongs in it that wires plugged into. The new one doesnt have that
Swapping out the old long style airpack for the newer style short one. Got everything figured out except the plug, which i assume is for brake lights. The old one has this plug on the front of the airpack. The new short one does not. What needs to be done to make the brake lights work...
I'm helping my buddy work on his 71 m109 shop van to replace the airpack that didn't work when he bought it. He bought a new one, but when we crawled underneath his deuce, it didn't match what was there. The airpack he bought matches the one on his m35 and my m35, but not his m109. We removed it...
