1948 Chevy 3800 1 Ton NAPCO, Rare 9 ft extra long bed. 47,000 original miles. Never been registered for the road since new. Has original seat cover. Still 6 volt system. Original wood in the bed. Have all paperwork since new including original keys, service booklet (with oil change tickets still...
Bulldog_MacK13, what a great looking combo, your 818 & 127 both look great!!
Do you have the side panels for the 127? If so, did you paint them as well?
I wouldn't worry about the housing market rebounding anytine soon.
As far as deuces go, or any of the trucks, 5 tons, 1 1/4 tons..... They can be a serious PIA, but, each one of them is my favorite. I'm sure most of ya know what I mean.
Deuces are alot of fun in my opinion. Especially if you...
I have a 55 Studebaker that came out of Redstone a year and a half ago. New multifuel, new airshift, new doors, new hardtop, new fiberglass troopseats, new metal bows. Lots of new stuff. rusty cab though, and GL ran it into somthing before it was picked up. It'll need a new stude cab to be...
It's not an M50 or M49. It is an ex Marine Corps truck and the bed may be original. Look at the lifting guides on the bed above the trunion. That would be military only for the removable lifting brackets. There are other small hints on the bed that lead me to believe it may be original as well...
Pros: Kinda handy &, a very cool machine.
Cons: None I can think of except Don't Break It, kinda expensive to fix....No I haven't broken mine. This truck does need care and feeding.
Buy one in good condition with every thing working. Seems like the prices on GL have come down quite a bit in...
Sure, photos are no problem, just pm me with any requests.
I went out to the warehouse just now to get some dataplate photos.
Also, one of my wrecker mascots. She and her twin sister wandered into the back of the warehouse last summer at about midnight (it was still 100 degrees outside)...
That's also very possible. I seem to remember a photo taken outside Memphis Equipment of a similar piece of equipment. Thought those were MC-1's though. It does look like it has a round fuel tank???
Good research. It's about 2 hours away from me behind a fence. This was the closest I could get to it on a Sunday. I first saw this truck about 2 years ago. It hasn't moved. I may head out there in the next few weeks to check it out a little closer.
I will of course take the camera.
Well, doesn't look like an MC-1 either.
Hard to find images of MC-1's. The only Images of XM-61's I've ever seen are the ones you and I have taken of Jack's.
Congrats on a great and important save. That's going to be a project!!
My M756A2 is still waiting its turn for some attention to get it on the road. It runs like a top, just can't stop it! Needs Brake work.
My M109A3 has it's original date plate, Kaiser-Jeep 1965 M109A3. It has a LDT465-1C. Have no idea when this engine went into it as it most likely had an LD465 when built.
Great Find!! Original with winch is very rare! I'm glad you found a real one to save.
Is the trailer conection equipment still there behind the cab? Trolley brake on the column?
Once again, nice job!!
I have a 67 M275A2. It's great little truck.
