Freight Train,
I work for the Idaho State Police and I do inspections on commercial vehicles. I did a little research but I couldn’t find any good news.
I looked at Section 40-12-248 of Alabama code it talks about the registration fees. If I understand the section it would cost you $520 to...
When I mail order things I have them shipped to my wife’s office, she told me that the UPS man was less than thrilled with the box. The box contained the chain and was also stuffed with some stainless steel mess trays, it was somewhat heavy. The chain stores nice with one ring in the pintle...
I think it is but I am not 100% sure. I bought mine from Coleman’s Surplus for about $35 each, I also bought the 12 foot chain for $50 something, the chain weighs about 80 pounds. Shipping was a little expensive but well worth the money.
It has been cold here the last few days, down to -18 degrees. Yesterday I went out to start my deuce it was about -1 with some fresh snow. My flame heater is not working and I have yet to install the battery heaters. It took several tries but she roared to life. It knocked a bit for a couple...
Thanks, still no dice. In the “modify your coordinates” area it only gives me the options of latitude, longitude and a short message. I tried the address and zip code ,didn’t work.
I have tried to add myself to the member locator map and I am having a problem. Whenever I load the map I am not on it and at the top it has “modify your coordinates”. I have put my latitude and longitude but nothing happens when I submit it. What have I done wrong?
The bumper looks great. Does the area behind the bumper between the fender have a bottom so you could store assorted items like chains or straps. I have thought about doing that on my deuce. I seem to carry more junk than I have storage space. Better to have it and not need it than need it...
Hello, I thought I would show my truck with the tool box installed. I was able to finally get the job done between snow storms. The boards on the ground helped keep me somewhat dry. It was raining so hard while I was working on my truck I was worried it might sink with me under it. It is...
I wish that was mine, I don’t have the $$$! The photo’s are from an EZY-LIFT add. I went for the HF crane for my pickup. It does its job but I have my doubts that the cable and pulley would hold 1000 pounds. It groans at lifting my 250 pound generator. I thing putting a larger pulley on it...
I have looked at a lot of Deuce’s and some 5-tons. Most are manufactured by Am General Kaiser-Jeep etc. On my deuce’s data plate it says “Manufactured by General products division Jeep corporation”. The word “Kaiser” does not appear anyplace on the data plate. All of my paper work says it...
Thanks. I must say this site is great, lots of good information and friendly people. Like yourself I want a crane but don’t want it to interfere with my troop seats. I have been looking at building something that will mount at the front center of the bed and fold down sideways on the floor...
I bought one from HF and installed it in the back of my Dodge, It work great. I mainly use it to lift my generator and truck tires, but I find more uses for it every day. I did modify it so it would have better support and not tear out the thin sheet metal of my truck bed. One thing I will...
After looking at my pictures it looks like my friends truck with the heater core on its side does not use the elbow that I have. If you could cut a standard air inlet hood to fit you might not need to find any parts.
On the truck I got my heater from the air inlet hose was rubbing on the side of the side panel and had a pretty good kink in it. Maybe putting the heater cor on it side helped with this problem?
