I gotta say when I first saw it I kind of threw up in my mouth. But that's mostly cause I have been looking at and driving the M-37 since I was born. So the purist in me was my mindset. But then I looked at it again and again. Then I actually got jealous and said with all the M-37's we've had in...
As usual you have outdone yourself Mark. Nice looking truck. When they get the big tires it takes away from the ........front end. So what did she run top end with the 46's?
Like Jwaller said they bolt and go. Just flip the rear rims in and the fronts out. The track lines up. I only have one of these right now and am looking for more but I have seen them up close and personal on the 900 trucks.
I have shopped them before for Aircraft and MV tires. I agree with Wreckerman. If you want it they got it but you can proly find it cheaper from someone else.
The HEMTT wheels weigh a bit. You could probably make more loss if you had the A3 wheels. I'm gonna run the HEMTT wheels like you did. I'm just sayin'.
No problem. They are a great company to work with. They have solved several hardware issues I have had. Anymore if I need something I just go to them first.
To answer the question originally posted I don't think there is a start and end date when you could expect to see a certain engine in a certain year truck. If you are able to find a truck with an LDS good for you.
I know that some National Guard units got tired of the 2.5's not keeping pace...

I'm not fairly unfamiliar with the A3. I just don't currently own one. That's like saying I am fairly unfamiliar with horses because I don't currently own one and I'm not partial to them.;-)
I can carry on a conversation in my whistler turbo A2.
Like I said in my post. This is my opinion of...
I just love where these threads go......insert popcorn smiley here.
So bob 1256 you are new to the site and deuces in the private market. Welcome.
Something you will learn about this site like many others is everyone has their own opinions and will not hesitate to impart that upon...
Oh I agree. WARWAGON is going back on the truck. Problem is you are going to have to get me to throttle back on where I'm painting it. It was on the rear doors, sides of the box and on the cab doors when we got it. I'm thinking of all kinds of places we can rock the name for the truck.
And I...
That's what I was saying about the tire speed. These trucks were made to crawl as you well know. If you get a lot of tire speed the dynamics of the "flywheel" effect of spinning tires comes into play.
I have lots of other vehicles outside of the MV world. My Wagoneer has a built 400 SBC with...
That's all good and I understand what you are driving at but.......
At some point since you bought the truck from GL and not from a private party YOU have to apply for your SF97 from GL. Remember that this truck has never been issued a title. Therefore YOU have to apply for said title. You...
I can see after reading the whole thread that you have decided on and found a 6B motor for this project.
However there were a lot of good gas engines that would fit in front of the hydromatic. Pontiac, Cadillac and Olds made several that should bolt right up to the tranny.
The problem I see...
:ditto:
And BTW you are not a bone head. No one knows everthing. Most of us learn the hard way at some point with these trucks. What is important is that the truck is home and no one lost an eye or a finger.
The brakes may have dragged because rust builds up in the drums when they...
