My guage is the 0-60 and the truck peggs the guage all the time. Sometimes when it's cold out the engine makes 50 psi until the truck warms up enough to idle properly, more than 500 rpm, then it heads north to peg at 60.
There is always next year.......If our area does not become wilderness by then. But I digress.
On opening weekend we called a bunch of bulls close to us but they just did not want to roll out of the dark timber. The good part was we scouted a ton of new territory that was close to camp and...
Yes. Bring that guy for sure. Buy him a steak dinner after you and he get back safely.
After you get this truck......And then your 5 ton, tee hee, you will need a towbar so if one truck goes down you can recover it with the other.
There is no cure for the OD fever.
The windshield wipers are turned on by rotating a knob that is to the right of and under the steering wheel next to the steering column. They are air operated so the more you open the valve the faster they go. Problem is that they will not run unless the little red button is popped out on the...
On the NDT 11.00's on both my 5 tons I can lock them up empty at speed no problem. I know these trucks are old but I have not had a problem stopping them. Do I leave a ton of room to stop anyway? Absolutely. I don't depend on the fact that I can lock up the brakes just to tailgate people. That...
I always remember how to spell it the way my Dad taught me. Plymouth. He said just say it out as Pl eye mouth. All I could find was that Plymouth called it the Auto Clutch.
And Hydraulic oil has better anti foaming properties than engine oil as stated above. It is also supposed to have better...
The point I was trying to get across from the DOD export form is that the EUC is carried to each subsequent owner of the truck. It is not just the responsibility of the original purchaser that bought the truck from GL/DOD. It is the original purchasers responsibility to pass the EUC on to the...

Nice. I finally got my yoytube problem fixed and my vids uploaded. Now here for your viewing pleasure......Enjoy.
Bear and a doe. We saw a bunch of Elk but not in a place where we could get a good shot on them. In the dark timber with just thier buts showing for a split second. It was just too hot and dry. The woods sounded like we were walking on rice crispies. When it was cold and windy the days before...
Delo or Shell Rotella T 15W40 for motor oil.
To check the brake fluid there is a hinged plate on the drivers side floor. Flip it up and there is a vent line in the top of the plug in the top of the master cylinder. You have to remove the vent line before you can remove the plug so you can...
I am happy you are happy.
On a side note I waited 15 years to finally get my M817 and you cut one up and bobbed it........I'm not bashing you. Don't get me wrong. I am happy with you that you got what you want. And I know that cutting up any of these trucks is a "sin" in some peoples minds...
You always get the cool stuff. I never get anything nice.
Seriously though that is cool. I have always wanted one. I am looking for an expansible van trailer to pull behind my M-818. Why? Because I can.
Let us know what you want to do with it. And of course how much. Inqueiring minds want...
73M819. I am not bashing you so please don't take what I am going to post as such. I agree that safety is of upmost importance.
I am from Colorado but have driven the roads outside of Dallas TX that he is describing. They are two lane blacktop farm to market roads. They are good roads right up...
Please explain the 2.5 rear springs on the bobbed 5 ton. I thought the dual axle spring pack on the rear of a 2.5 is a slipper spring at the axle and therefore provides no attachment points........I am obviously missing something.
I have heard, not confirmed, that there is a "washable" air filter element for the M-35. I thought I had one in my deuce. We washed it with soap and water in a bucket like we were supposed to. The paper in the filter fell apart and opened up big holes. Filter was done. So I obviously don't know...
The mpc Products one worked for me. The other two did not. I am sorry. You may have to go old school and type those in manually in Google. I know. I know. I should not put you through so much stress.:p
The Aviation Mag article popped right up when I googled it last night. The Wiki article is...
