Who has the oldest military Vehicle on SS

Patch, I wish it was that way, but this is a shot of the inside of the museum. It is part of a large but unfinished underground-fortification built by the Germans in WWII. It was part of the Westwall / Siegfried Line. Now it is a nice museum with a great collection of contemporary gear...

Who has the oldest military Vehicle on SS

Our member and my friend Bunkerratte has a nice WWII CCKW - I think its a 42 - which is in the Westwall Museum near Pirmasens. I'm looking forward to restore it maybe one day together with him. On the picture you see it lurking behind a scout car, waiting for better times to come... Cheers, Mark

    deuce air pak

I couldn't find the posting anymore, but there was someone who replaced the allen plug with a pressure line that ended on his steering coloumn with a small valve on it. It was a field mod he applied during a recovery to make it home despite brakes that were locking frequently. I thought thats...

    New Member from England

Jeff, I bet you started that 8gp 124t thing! :-) At least mine is a copy of yours! I love that 5ton tractor. It has the "right" look, all the way to the yellow headlights... @Maverick: we wanted to resolve that thing with these cards at the end of the show but didn't because we were busy...

Mav, thanks! I definitely plan to visit the Hop Farm with the Deuce, but probably not 2009 as we have a new born toddler with us here now. Did you guys notice the enemy defection cards (prints from original scans) and death cards lying around your camp back in 2005??? Man, that howitzer...

Welcome, Stuart! Very nice looking M54 with that m49 ring mount. I also see you stenciled it as an 8GP 124T vehicle :-) We probably met unknowlingly in Beltring in 2005 if you were there, were a buddy and I were allowed by Roger to participate as guests in the Rolling Thunder show. Regards...

    M109A3 Restoration/Remodel

Congratulations, looks great! I was also a newbie to most of the work I did on my truck and without the great support and information on StSo this would have been very difficult. Will you keep the CARC or go for a contemporary sixties look? Mark

Brake fluid -how to tell which kind you have DOT 3 or DOT 5

Next to tasting the fluid and risking "Sgt. Half-Masts Revenge", you easily can check what brake fluid is in your system by mixing it. DOT3 and DOT5 do not mix. So if you put a little DOT5 in a jar and drain some fluid out of the system on top of it and it does nnot mix, you have DOT3 in your...

    XM757 / Pershing documentation

Wayne, thank you for your offer. I just generated the PDF myself (could have thought of that earlier...) and wanted to add them to the TA section, but it is a nogo. It says "not authorized" when I click the add item link. I can add PDFs to a post, so here they are... You can download them by...
