Does anyone know the part number so I can buy a new speedometer cable and the plastic part that goes in the transmission?
My bounced so bad that it eventually would spin the needle like a propeller. Ended up screwing up the speedometer so I replaced it. The speedometer only bounces when I get...
The other thing you need to make sure of is there a Title on these vehciles. If a vehicle is 1975 or older then all you really need is a bill of sale. If it is 1976 or later it can be difficult unless you have the paperwork from GL or the Government to apply for a title.
There is a reason...
Hey, I'm just down the road from you. Shoot me a PM and I will provide you with my cell. I have a m1009 and can talk to you or go look at them with you.
How much rust to they have?
I insured mine thru Farm Bureau. Just told them that it was a Blazer used by the military and gave them the VIN. They wrote the policy with no questions. I only have liability insurance.
Here is the link to the OD Iron AC kit. I have been thinking about getting one myself but don't want to spend the money.

Bought a set of 4 off ebay a couple of years ago. (no I wasn't the one who paid $40, I think I paid $12 plus shipping) I used 2 of them and the other 2 are put up somewhere incase I ever need them.
I was only able to attend for an hour or so, but it looked like all were having a good time looking and talking OD. I even got to talk to Mrs Wreckerman who gave me the inside "Poop & Scoop" story on Wreckerman and his OD.
Myself and maybe one other will meet ya'll at WM's place. I have a wedding to make at 4pm in Talladega so I will have to leave around 1pm.
I am bringing Derek's 105 Trailer that I picked up in Mobile last week from Tim.
Timntrucks, I made it home with the 105 Trailer chassis. The left hub was warm but only about as much as when you arrived in Mobile. Will meet the new owner later this week and he can pull it to Chattanooga. Nice meeting 'ya.
Govt, you should become a member of our MV club. Our club is the...
Wreckerman, nice speaking to you this evening. I will probably be able to make the meet in my M1009 but will need to leave around 1pm to make it home for company coming in.
Please provide the exact location where we are to meet up and the time.
Thanks.
Chuck, I think Emr is talking about me.
EMR, my apologys to you, I have your battery box laying on my shop bench but have been distracted by my recent retirement and a death in the family. I still need to make sure the mounting baracket will work with you bed.

Crank,
As Chuck said on the G, ajust the carb by screwing the adjustment screw clockwise til it bottoms out. Don't over tighten. Then unscrew (counterclockwise) 1.5 turns. minor adjust from there.

Carnac,
Thanks - You advised the mileage was 6,073 in the info from Sep '04. When I picked the truck up this past Monday it only had 6,700 miles. After 104 mile trip home, she only has 6,804 miles on her.
Not many miles on the truck for the last 5 years.
Thanks again

I, my dad and our buddy Jeremy made the trip to Redstone today to recover 2 dueces that we bought in a sale in late March.
The recovery went fine and we couldn't have asked for a better recovery. We were only on the GL lot for about 30 minutes checking the water and engine oil. After the...
I picked up my duece today at Redstone and drove it 100 miles home. I wore the soft tan earplugs all the way home. You can still hear conversation and the sirens. They are great and I was albe to hear at dinner this evening and the ears were not ringing at all.
Well i have an appt for Monday at 11:30am to "recover" the truck. I will load my duelly up with fluids, tools, parts etc... Dad will go with me to drive the duelly back. We will stop in Gadsden and pickup a friend who also bought a truck in the same sale at Redstone. If all goes well we will be...
