So if this is done, what do you do with the wires that this plug plugged into that come out of the winch motor? Just cut the plug off? I bought a new solenoid pack for mine and am wondering if you can just delete those wires out of the winch motor. The new pack doesn't seem to require that?
Got it shortly after this post started at different parts store. Shifts a lot better now as others have reported. I used dexron III and just did several drain and fills and changed both filters. Worked like a charm. Just an update for others to consider
I can't seem to find the part number for the internal transmission filter on the a3. Part store doesn't show it. Or maybe I'm remembering wrong and there isn't one. Also, anybody have any luck getting it flushed? Ive called 15 places and they're all afraid of the oil that's in there messing up...
It was 6 degrees when we started working on it. About lost part of toe from frostbite, at least it felt like it. A little bit of ether got it going but I hate that stuff. I'd post some pics but don't know how on iPad. Got it's 1st cord of wood home yesterday. Actually holds about 1 3/4 cords if...
Made it home with mine. Slow and cold as the heater quit working half way home. Of course it's worked fine since then. Oil pressure gauge is still wacky so I'm installing a mechanical gage this week. Windshield washer pump doesn't work and inboard air tank is still frozen, although I did get...
Customer notified!!!! Pickup at wright pat Friday I hope. Euc 23 days, and first one at that! Hope it makes it home now. If anybody is on the way down I-75 south from Dayton to south of Lexington, Ky and wouldn't mind being on standby in case of emergency, pm me please. Weather is supposed to...
Yep. Found that out earlier in this thread with the compressor lube question. This site has been amazingly helpful..now, I just search a3 plus whatever question I have. Seems to help, but still got to wade through a lot of stuff thats not applicable. Maybe I should just buy an a2 also. I feel...
Thanks. I read your epic recovery thread. Don't know if I coulda done that trip. My little jaunt of 180 miles will pale in comparison, but shouldn't be a problem as everything looked perfect other than the mentioned issues. Brand new filters and fluids etc. Now I'm finding myself checking my euc...
Well, been busy for last day or so and didn't have time to post. But it seems USA is posting above the original thought I had. If the check valve between the 2 tanks is frozen, can any air get into the inboard tank. That is what I can't tell from the schematic diagrams, is the outboard tank...
Well, that's probably true. Also makes me think a new thread may be in order, but I'll search before i post it.Thanks for the useful help also everyone. I think I now am more prepared for my recovery
Yep. Plenty of reading before I jumped in. 180-190 miles. But we are gonna take back roads home and make it slow, easy and enjoyable, hopefully. Now gotta find that oil gauge tomorrow.
Yeah I saw the tire exploding post. Better add a fire extinguisher. Dang man, I need another deuce to haul my chit up there. Better get to looking, another auction tomorrow;) There's worse addictions I guess.
