Hobart, eh? Man, you were so close, you could have just pushed the rigs there! :-) My personal favorite of your two rigs was the M543A2. The two hooked together was so long it could have stretched between two zip codes. Thanks for coming to the show. Oh, what is the difference between an M543...
The weather was indeed beautiful. We had 40 military vehicles, not counting trailers, plus about 15 emergency vehicles. I took a video as we drove through the event at noon in our Abbot. See it at https://youtu.be/BXXrlmgTle0 Mark your calendars for the same weekend, next year. It was a hoot.

Last call for the Triple-X drive-in on Sunday. The weather may actually work. I've been following the
forecasts all week and there is a hole on Sunday and it's been steadily
there all week, so here's hoping.....
Please try to be there, in place by 0900. Bring whatever you have in
whatever...
Cool. I got a call today from someone in Spokane who will be driving over just to enjoy the show. They aren't bringing a vehicle; just looking. Wow, that's 300 miles!
Jim
Y'all,
We're about a month out until the very first military vehicle show of
the season. It is at the Triple X Rootbeer drive-in in Issaquah, WA. See
their website at www.triplexrootbeer.com
We always have a great time at that show. Best burgers anywhere, too.
C'mon down with whatever you...
Enjoyed it, Peter! Thanks for heading up the group. I should mention that the vet in the red jacket is named Jim and was in the Battle of the Bulge, in a counter-artillery battery. His job was to walk a phone line out into no-man's land about a mile and hide. The sounds of the German artillery...
We will be there with our big klanky green thing. It would be best if we could stage on Main St. Looking forward to it! Thanks for taking point on this, Peter.

Another update: Those of us that part inside the gun show will need to stay in place until the show closes at 5pm plus a half hour. WAC has a firm policy of not moving vehicles when show attendees are present. We will have fuel money available for those parked inside or outside, and if you...
Update: We (Washington Arms Collectors) are going to try something new this time. We will have some room inside the main event to park vehicles. We do not know how much, yet. We might not be able to squeeze the biggest ones in, but smaller vehicles should be able to be indoors, right in the gun...
This will be about the umpteenth year that we have put on this display at WAC. Always lots of fun, even if it rains. We've never been rained out but we have been rained on, some. As in the past, we will have some money to help pay fuel expenses for getting vehicles to the show. Can't...
Yo, Marc...
3 of us are getting on the 11am boat from Coupeville on Friday the 2nd. Reservations are really, really recommended. It's easy to do. Here's the link to make a reservation:

Love to have more of us on that...
Brad and Nick Kirgan with their military Blazer, M101 trailer, and M274 Mule, and Dean with his M35A2 will be on the same 11am ferry with us on Friday. Anyone else planning on the 11am crossing on Friday Sept. 2? Brenda and the pin-up girls will be riding across with us, decked out in their USO...
Found some dash-cam video from last year, loading our Klanky old green thing onto and off of the ferry from Coupeville.
Here it is loading onto the ferry at Pt. Townsend. Start watching at the 2 minute mark:

Here it is offloading at Coupeville...
No problem, Storm. And yes, the usual October show is still on. Hope you can make that one. I think it is the 15th weekend. I'll announce it shortly. This is just another opportunity to do a show. We'll miss ya but see ya in October.
Jim
Mil vehicle show on Sat, Aug 6 at the Fairgrounds in Puyallup. Bring anything you have. We will probably be outside this time. Not a big deal in the summer, actually. I have gotten several replies so far, so I know we will have at least an average sized showing. It's military appreciation...
I happened to talk to the head of the Downtown Kirkland Business Association yesterday and asked if they knew how many people attended the Kirkland 4th of July parade, and the answer was, and get this, 40,000! I knew it had to be in the thousands, but sheesh! I think the car show is put on by...
