I knew I had seen something like you described and it was bugging me so I looked again. I was using the wrong search terms for the setup I remembered.
It is called a "BAIL BAR EXTENSION KIT" and is standard issue equipment for an MK18A1.
"BAIL BAR EXTENSION KIT. Three piece assembly...
I spend a lot of time in Seattle-we get pretty good at removing mildew here in the Pacific Northwest. I've used bleach (Clorox) for years on colored canvas table umbrellas that are not nearly as stout as the military covers. I remember reading the Tilex label and thinking bleach was the main...
Welcome to the MK48 owners club. If you don't have the TMs yet they are here on the site.

.
I am 99% certain that there is not a kit like that for a 20 foot container.
The only thing that I recall that comes close is an adapter...
Looks very similar to these TYPE III
GL has been selling a few out of Lockbourne, Ohio in the recent past.
TM 10-5411-233-13&P 30 September 2002 has a lot of information.

It has been a while since I've done it, but from checking ratios on other vehicles over the years, I think you are correct.
I also recall that rather than trying to make sure both sides were turning at same rate due to differences in brake drag, etc., I found it was easier to be accurate by...
I've glanced at PartTarget before but didn't realize it had dimensions on items- that is very useful.
PartTarget shows shank diameter of 2.25" and the threads at the end are 2 1/4-12, so that doesn't seem tapered. In the 24P-1 there is a diagram of the pintle hook which also looks like a...
The wealth of knowledge and the willingness of members to take the time to share that knowledge is what makes this site great!
A big thanks to Castle Bravo for this post and to all the others who take the time to share the knowledge and experience they have accumulated. Although I'm a...
Yes, it is. It's also needed as a drawbar extension for the M989A1 trailer behind a PLS with one of these "self-guided coupler".
The M1076 drawbar has a longer "neck" on the lunette and so do the Advanced Containment Systems FPU-TS trailers that GP was selling in Ft Polk recently.
. . . ...
I'm guessing these adapters are going to be hard to find. I'm wondering if the self-guided feature of the pintle hitch on the PLS is worth the hassle of finding/making an adapter for any trailer other than an M1076. I'm thinking it might be better to change the pintle on the PLS out to a...
PLS Drawbar extension
I had subscribed to this thread a while ago, so an email popped up with the recent post. I'm 99% certain Storm 51's extension is not for the PLS, more along the lines of Evil Dr. Porkchop's post.
There is heavy duty and then there is HEAVY DUTY when the loaded trailer...
I usually use Chrome -current Version 54.0.2840.99 m and Windows 7 Pro which is current on updates.
I first experienced the issue about a month ago in both PM and posts, not consistently though-sort of random and going advanced was an easy workaround, so didn't pay that much attention.

Gunzy is correct that propane won't work. To run on either natural gas or propane, a diesel engine needs either a spark ignition or a small amount of diesel injected to ignite the propane/natural gas.

Propane (LPG) by itself will NOT self...
I just had diesel forklift that I got a few years ago on GL with 4 cyl Isuzu start acting up all of a sudden. It would start, run for a minute then it could barely idle. Short version of long story, after pulling the top of the fuel tank off, couldn't get much through the steel pick up tube...
These TM's have so many pages that the only efficient way to find anything is to use Adobe's search function. The Welding procedure is in TM-9-2320-360-34-1 (May 2007) starting on page 2-190. It makes reference to disconnecting 6 items covered in TM-9-2320-360-20-2 including the batteries, DDEC...
Jbulach is correct, you should make sure of what the frame material is. I should have been specific that the welding I was referring to was for 110,000 psi.
Ford's bulletin Q-140 specifies preheat of 500-600 degrees for frame materials 50,000 to 120,000 psi steel.
